They will lead a global team responsible for Internal and External Reporting, and Market insights for CIB Globally & HBEU including all of Western Markets.
The role holder will work directly with Head of Financial Planning & Analysis - CIB & HBEU, with the following core areas of responsibility:

In this role you will:
• External Reporting: accountability for the production of all external reporting for CIB & HBEU including; Annual Report and Accounts, Quarterly Earnings Releases, all Investor Presentations and Data Packs. All external reporting specific to HBEU including; all Regulatory Reporting and PRA requirements. Support to the Head of FP&A and CFO in preparation for external reporting milestones, such as preparation for reviews and sign offs.
• Internal Financial performance reporting: The role holder is responsible for the reporting of financial performance for CIB & HBEU to all internal stakeholders with a strong emphasis on providing insight to drive management actions to improve financial performance. This includes leveraging a wide range of internal data beyond Finance MI systems, encompassing platforms such as Omnia.
• Competitor and Market intelligence: A key component of this role is provide information to the CIB & HBEU OpCo on performance relative to our competitors, and to seek out relevant market intelligence to enhance collective understanding of market dynamics, to better enable OpCo to make informed business decisions. The role holder will generate and review competitor analyses and industry reports to contextualize CIB performance and progress against strategy. • Input to CIB & HBEU governance forum materials: Rr is responsible for providing relevant Finance input to materials for CIB & HBEU governance forums, such as Boards (both Group and HBEU), CIB & HBEU OpCo and Group OpCo, Audit Committees as well as for key meetings such as with auditors and regulators.
• Controls: Will be responsible for applying effective internal entity controls established by the Group in compliance with the policies and procedures laid out in GSM and FIMs. .

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
• Held senior Finance management roles within HSBC or other financial institution of a similar size.
• Strong background in Financial Reporting or Regulatory Reporting. FTR.
• Expertise in the Corporate & Institutional Banking product set including value and profit drivers.s. • Experience in writing insightful commentary and considering the priorities and needs of diverse audiences when drafting.
• Understanding of global trends, opportunities and threats that will affect CIB & HBEU in order to allow stakeholders to make informed decisions to enhance business growth. This will consider all inherent risks and rewards, as well as regulatory and tax implications.
• Understand impact of macroeconomic trends on CIB, continuously adapting Finance support based on business needs.
• Experience managing and developing an international team within a complex functional environment.
