The Opportunity:
- Global Service Centre (GSC) provides a variety of financial support services to business partners across the HSBC Group. Nostro team is responsible for the reconciliation of Nostro accounts for various HSBC group entities spread across HBCE
What you’ll do:
- Ensure seamless service delivery in accordance with agreed PLA/SLA and obtain good understanding of the processes.
- Understand the nature of outstanding transactions and keep the aging under control.
- Rigorous follow up with departments for the settlement of un-reconciled transactions to keep the aging under control and escalate as per chaser or escalation matrix.
- Ensure the process adheres to the designed internal controls and applicable instruction manuals are being followed
- Identify the process re-engineering / improvements and initiate best-practise sharing across the business lines
- Should have proven ability to work to strict deadlines under pressure and be a team player.
- Support the Management in driving various process improvement projects and initiatives.
- Promote high degree of staff engagement within teams.
What you will need to succeed in the role:
- B Com /M Com/ CA (Inter)/ CWA (Inter): 5+ years or CA/CWA/MBA: 2-5 years in Accounts and Finance.
- Exposure to Accounting, Financial Control and a strong understanding of Reconciliation concepts
- Experience and proficiency in working on reconciliation tools
- Good understanding of the workflow for retail banking transactions and related accounting treatment
- Ability to successfully manage customer relationships with multiple business partners and departments
- Analytical and ability to relate business operations to financial exposure
- Good Communication and presentation skills – Both verbal and written
- Ability to proactively identify issues and work towards resolution.
- Proficiency in MS – Office including Excel and quick learner on different user defined tools and applications.
- Experience in Financial Services Industry preferred but not essential
- Migration experience will be an added advantage
- Assertive, with a positive attitude and an open mind.
- Flexible in shift timings and all days of the week with rotational week off days.
