• This is a role within the Compliance Assurance (CA) sub-function under Regulatory Compliance Department, which is a function within the Internal Systems and Regulations structure of HSBC Bank A.Ş.
CA provides independent second line of defence assurance activities over regulatory compliance (RC) and financial crime (FC) risks.
• The role contributes to the global standardised CA approach, which is aligned to the bank’s Risk Management Framework. It is responsible for contributing to the delivery of end-to-end assurance work over the effectiveness of the management of regulatory, conduct, financial crime and reputational risks and assessing whether the business is operating in line with relevant laws, regulations, principles, and HSBC Group standards, including whether Compliance is designed appropriately and operating optimally. The team covers all RC and FC Risks. It is a subject matter expert on adequately assessing the effectiveness of risk management activities to meet industry standards, country regulatory obligations and bank policy through an approved annual review plan.
• The role holder will be required to carry out assurance reviews across LOBs (CIB, MSS and IWPB, also including the 2 local subsidiaries, AMTU and AMTR), as well as GCOO and Global Functions in Türkiye, covering both FC / RC risks, as part of the CA.
• The role holder will not have direct line management responsibility.

• Clear understanding of regulatory and/or financial crime compliance risk across line of businesses within the global financial services industry.
• Effective written communication skills and past experience in report writing is preferred.
• Capable of building positive and resilient partnerships including management of difficult discussions with key stakeholders.
• Lateral thinker with an ability to interpret and solve complex issues.
• Excellent communication skills with very strong inter-personal, influencing and time management skills.
• Track record of working independently.
• Decision-making capability.
• Strong English and Turkish language skills (written and spoken) is a vital for this role.
• Data analysis skills and MS Office tools knowledge is preferred.
• Past working experience in Audit, Internal Control or Compliance is preferred.
