The Opportunity:

  • The role is involved in managing the Commercial Banking and Global Market businesses in various markets across geographies maintaining highest customer service level by management of workflow to ensure efficient operations of the unit, without compromising on data integrity standards. The job holder is responsible for providing consistent Credit Risk management services by minimizing risk through effective management of cost and resources and ensuring that internal audits and measures are undertaken regularly and reviewed to achieve / exceed agreed Process and Global Operating Metrics.

What you’ll do:

  • Transaction Processing and Service Quality: Ensure all transactions are processed accurately and within agreed Service Level
  • Agreements (SLAs), maintaining high service quality for internal and external clients. Ensure data integrity and provide seamless service.
  • End-to-End Customer Journey Management: Independently manage the entire customer journey through various service deliveries, including:
  • Preapproval Activities: Credit Application Creation, Financial Spreading, and Customer Risk Rating Generation.
  • Post-Approval Activities: Creation of Lending Documentation, Limit Setup, Fund Disbursement, Loan Rollovers, and Covenant Monitoring.
  • Collateral Management: Input, Registration, Maintenance, Renewal, and Release.
  • Credit Administration: Reconciliation, Repayment, Pricing, Fee Setup, and Collection.
  • Financial Support for Delinquent Commercial Customers: Handling regulatory letters, account maintenance, liaising with debt management agencies, suppressing interest and charges, and assessing financial affordability.
  • Support and Management: Assist the Department in achieving business targets and efficient service management. Handle workflow management, capacity planning, and leave management to ensure smooth operations.
  • Audit and Risk Management: Conduct regular internal audits, understand the operational risk framework, and ensure adherence to audit requirements. Perform operational checks and self-audits for accuracy and quality. Proactively identify risk and strengthen controls.
  • Continuous Improvement and Efficiency: Drive continuous improvement in service quality by reviewing and refining processes. Lead initiatives to enhance work process efficiency, resulting in cost reductions and/or increased revenue. Implement and communicate changes effectively.
  • Policy and Procedure Maintenance: Stay current with all policies, processes, and procedures, and ensure compliance. Complete MI and other business data requirements accurately and timely.
  • Escalation and Issue Resolution: Manage escalations and resolve complex process-related issues independently.
  • Independently manage complex projects and assignments.

Leadership and Teamwork  

  • Ensure on-going skill development through effective use of available tools & resources, staff training and development.
  • Knowledge sharing with the team members and providing necessary guidance to the new recruits & less experienced team members.
  • Develop own knowledge and expertise, sharing with colleagues and internal customers.
  • Identify risk and control gap. 
  • Proven record in supporting and driving automations and improvement ideas in existing processes.
Requirements

What you will need to succeed in the role:

  • Strong SME knowledge and proven capability in Commercial / Global Credit and Lending Services is strongly preferred.
  • Prior experience in Commercial Lending / Trade Services/Credit Services/Securities Processing along with relevant product and collateral
  • knowledge is essential. 
  • Market knowledge is essential.
  • MBA Finance / B. Com / M. Com is essential.
  • To be willing to work in shifts (including Night).

What additional skills will be good to have?

  • All applicants must have successfully completed their probation period. 
  • All applicants must have a minimum performance rating of GOOD in the last two appraisals.
  • All L7 applicants should have served at least 12 months and should have successfully completed respective learning curve tenure in their current functional role at the time of application.
