We are a team of ~500 globally and over 200 in India, driving design, process excellence, business change, product ownership, simplification and automation across Wholesale Value Streams (Client Onboarding and Servicing, Global Payment Solutions, Global Trade & Receivables Finance, Capital Markets, Sustainability, Platforms & Regulatory programmes).

The Opportunity:

• As a Project Manager within our Wholesale team, you will be at the forefront of leveraging the Power Platform (i.e. PowerApps, Power Automate Desktop, Power BI, etc.) to deliver innovative solutions. Your role will be pivotal in driving Agile methodologies and DevOps practices, ensuring our solutions are developed with the highest standards of governance, including robust design, well-articulated code, and comprehensive documentation, all underpinned by rigorous testing.
• As a key player in our digital transformation journey, you will be responsible for developing solutions that automate and digitalize business processes across various journeys. This role demands a profound understanding of Agile capabilities, DevOps, and digital project management delivery, coupled with a solid background in business analysis.
• Working within an Agile environment, you will ensure that new and existing solutions are maintained in accordance with HSBC standards. Your role will encompass leading and managing projects from inception to completion, guaranteeing that all aspects of the project are delivered on time and within budget, while meeting the highest quality standards.

What you’ll do:

• Lead stakeholder engagement to comprehend their digital and automation needs, integrating Agile methodologies and DevOps practices to guarantee efficient project delivery.
• Oversee opportunity assessments and Proof of Concept for new use cases, ensuring alignment with HSBC governance.
• Convert business requirements into future state processes and high-level solution designs, leveraging advanced business analysis skills. Ensure all documentations are in compliance with HSBC governance.
• Develop and present digital project business cases, utilizing Agile project management delivery techniques to ensure timely and effective results. Represent the project and solution design in governance meetings with the support of the Digital & Automation Delivery Manager.
• Manage the implementation of end-to-end digital and automation solutions with Power Platform capabilities, such as Power Apps, Power Automate/ Power Automate Desktop, Power BI, etc., using Agile and DevOps principles to ensure continuous integration and delivery.
• Oversee the approval process in accordance with HSBC standards, utilizing Agile methodologies to streamline the process.
• Conduct code reviews in accordance with design principles and best practices, utilizing DevOps practices to ensure continuous improvement and quality.
• Lead in providing training to our teams in Agile methodologies and principles to ensure a flexible and adaptive team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

What you will need to succeed in the role:

General

• Proven successful track record in a project management role, preferably within the digital delivery pod.
• Demonstrated ability to problem solve, clearly articulate project requirements, and implement and drive delivery from inception to completion.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and comfortable dealing with complex stakeholder groups. Must be able to present technical details to a non-technical audience effectively.
• Strong ability to communicate effectively and with sufficient gravitas and prominence to influence key stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision, demonstrating a high level of initiative and self-motivation.
• Fast learner with the ability to quickly adapt to complex environments and stakeholder groups.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills required:
• Fluency in English is a must.
• Proficiency in Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin) is a plus.
• Familiarity with Wholesale Banking industry is a plus.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and design thinking is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to create value for the team, function, and stakeholders by defusing complex situations, solving problems, and leading others to get the job done.

Technical Skill

• Strong knowledge and proven successful track record in Power Platform and/or RPA technologies, and their use case assessment, implementation & delivery lifecycle.
• Good understanding of System Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile delivery approach.
• With hands on experience on one of below Power Platform capabilities or any market leading automation/ digital tools:
• Power Apps.
• Power Automate/ Power Automate Desktop.
• Power BI.
• RPA (e.g. Blue Prism/ UiPath/ Automation Anywhere).
• VBA.
• Proficient in MS Office, Teams, Confluence, Jira and/or Monday.com.
• Knowledge of other programming languages is a plus.

Qualifications and Accreditations.

• Applicants should have an IT / CS / Tech background with either a relevant bachelor’s degree or 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Applicants own any certificates below is highly preferable:
• Exam PL-500: Microsoft Power Automate RPA Developer.
• Blue Prism Developer Exam (AD01).
• Project Management Professional (PMP) or PRINCE.
• SAFe Product Owner, DevOps and Product Manager Certification.
