We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join this team in the role of Economist, Scenario Analysis and Implementation.

Group Risk Economics has a vacancy in its team for an economist who will play a pivotal role in scenario review, governance and implementation. The successful candidate will support Forecasting, Scenario Generation and review Impairment Reporting, analytics and other related credit risk processes.

In this role, you will:

•     Review scenario forecasts, economic analysis and other documentation for impairment and stress testing.
•    Confidently liaise with senior stakeholders on matters related to the economic cycle, forecasts, risks and scenarios. 
•    Source economic data and produce innovative charts and graphs to summarise economic relationships.
•    Conduct research to contribute to the production of economic scenarios for use in impairment forecasting, planning and enterprise-wide stress testing.
•    Be involved in governance cycles focusing on the banks senior risk committees.

Requirements

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

•     Must have prior experience as an Economist within a financial institution.
•    Experience in economic forecasting, scenario generation and scenario review analysis.
•    Understanding of global macroeconomic issues and major economic risks for the design and assessment of macroeconomic scenarios. 
•    Capability and experience in liaising with senior stakeholders on matters related to economic analysis.
•    Thorough drafting skills, demonstrating ability to pull PowerPoint presentations together. 
•    Experience and knowledge on climate risk and climate scenarios.

The base location for this role is London / Hybrid.
