Our Enhanced Portfolio Managed (EPM) region, within SME Business Banking, was created at the start of 2023.  The team presently comprises of Team Managers and Relationship Managers, some of which are ring fenced to manage High Risk Problem Exposure customers. 
We are seeking an experienced people leader to join the team in the role of Team Manager.  The successful applicant will be responsible for managing and coaching a team of GCB6 Relationship Managers for improved performance and delivering business objectives at a team level.

Your responsibilities will include:

•    Supporting the implementation of a sustainable business growth strategy, focusing the team on maximising the depth and breadth of existing client relationships, with an awareness of cultivating new-to bank opportunities, whilst leveraging our network.
•    Support the leadership of a region, and, support and coach EPM Relationship Managers (RMs) in supporting their teams to build an understanding of the customer’s business, identifying customer needs and delivering good outcomes.
•    Observe and assist Relationship Managers to enrich customer experience, ensure rigorous Customer Due Diligence and maximum mutual commercial benefits
•    Engage, where appropriate , in value-adding discussions with high priority clients to facilitate business execution or assist in managing sensitive risk issues.
•    Manage Performance of RMs across all objectives through a vigorous performance framework that includes coaching ,121s, observations and PIP management.
•    Drive appropriate financial focus of the team to enhance revenue growth through both current and new-to-bank clients and manage internal profile (credit risk approvers, peers, product partners, back office, FCC Officer) to facilitate execution of client deals, referrals and management of risk issues.
•    Confidently manage financial crime risk throughout the client lifecycle by identifying, assessing, accepting, monitoring, escalating and mitigating risk, reporting any breaches in accordance with local procedures.

Requirements

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

•    Strong people management skills with people leadership experience is preferred and previous Relationship Manager experience essential.
•    Digital channel and non-complex commercial product knowledge relevant to segment would be beneficial.
•    Able to lead delivery of excellent customer service, proactively identifying innovative ways to improve service delivered to customers and drive successful engagement with external market including customer events, networking events
•    Ability to drive business performance through support and development of Relationship Managers as well as support with performance management of the wider Region.
•    Ability to support and drive customer satisfaction, dealing swiftly and robustly with service failures.

This role has a hybrid role with a base location of Leicester.
