Your career opportunity
The role is based in the Global Finance Operations Centre in Krakow, Poland. The centre is supporting the development of the businesses across the European region. The centre covers all finance functions including Reporting (management and financial), Accounting and Financial Control and Systems. The Finance Systems Operations team is responsible for maintenance, controls and development of the Finance Systems supported from GFOC centre in Krakow. The maintenance and controls function ensure that the systems are operational and the proper support to the end users is provided. The development function engages with various project (both Finance and Business driven) ensuring the Finance requirements and requirements from Project are properly addressed and reflected in the systems. The Finance Systems team is additionally and specifically having a leading role in Regulatory Reporting change projects.
What you’ll do
- Project Management.
- Provision of well-grounded analysis and commentary for own areas of accountability to enable sound understanding of business requirements and informed decision making.
- Coordinate the business analysts involved into the projects with the preparation of robust analysis of business and substantial development work along with interim and ad hoc tasks as they arise.
- Enhance Business Finance Systems,
- Ensure the fair treatment of our customers is at the heart of everything we do, both personally and as an organisation. This will be achieved by consistently displaying the behaviours required to support the Best Place to Bank principles of Make Better Products, Sell Them Properly and Keep Them Sold.
- Reassess the operational risks associated with the role and inherent in the business, taking account of changing economic or market conditions, legal and regulatory requirements, operating procedures and practices, management restructurings, and the impact of new technology.
What you need to have to succeed in this role
- Possess a good knowledge of financial accounting and control, with 4 years of experience.
- Very good understanding of financial systems, working experience in project management.
- Experience in leading or participating in improvements or implementation projects would be an asset
- Knowledge of Financial Services and Products preferred.
- Demonstrate the ability to work with people at all levels.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Be able to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
- Take personal accountability, be decisive, use judgment and common sense. Able to work within a changing environment.
