The Digital Marketing Services Specialist will be part of the Digital Marketing Services tribe to support on tag management, cookie audits, data analytics and SEO activities in collaboration with Web Production to constantly monitor website health and maintaining best user experience on internal and public websites.
The Opportunity:
The DMS Tribe offers digital marketing services within Digital Production Services. The team supports the Group’s businesses and functions to effectively deliver digital marketing strategies through HSBC public and internal websites.
The role of a Digital Marketing Services Specialist is responsible in performing tasks related to tag management, cookie audits, web analytics and SEO where output do not require consultation. The role is expected to provide support to Digital Marketing Services Managers to deliver digital marketing requirements of the stakeholders. The job holder performs basic tag configuration to support marketing campaigns and deployment of new solutions, perform cookie audits ensuring compliance to GDPR requirements related to cookies and perform testing on tag deployments ensuring identified issues are escalated and rectified. The Digital Marketing Services Specialist delivers SEO housekeeping exercises and SEO reporting on agreed frequency and timelines. The job holder creates dashboards for MI reporting using different analytics tools.
The Digital Marketing Services Services Specialist is expected to assist and/or report to the identified chapter lead within the service. The chapter lead will then be responsible for performance review against team’s goals, supporting the Tribe lead in making sure the overall goals and strategic alignment both on the service and business are met.
What you’ll do:
- Facilitate cookie audits to ensure in-scope markets are in compliant with GDPR, report identified gaps in audits and monitor actions to rectify issues particularly on the managed sites
- Create basic dashboards on website performance, user behavior, acquisition funnels, marketing channels, etc. to support the business and DPS Digital Marketing Services Managers in generating actionable insights
- Perform tag configuration, testing and deployment to support tag deployments for campaigns and onboarding new solutions (ie analytics tools)
- Perform testing on website deployments ensuring that all test criteria related to tagging, analytics and SEO are met
- Perform SEO audits and housekeeping exercise on an agreed frequency and in close coordination with Web Production ensuring that all required fixes are monitored and addressed
- Ensure a high quality of work and on time delivery by consistently taking responsibility for one's own work, reviewing it against quality standards, and consistently seeking to achieve zero quality errors.
- Participate in investigating issues as part of incident management responsibilities, as well as implement identified corrective and preventive actions to resolve issues

What you will need to succeed in the role:
- Should have post-secondary education – either at the degree level or a relevant professional diploma or certificate
- Should have basic knowledge of CSS, HTML and Javascript
- Should have basic knowleadge on web analytics and SEO measurements and tools
- Should be familiar with scanning tools eg Observepoint, ScreamingFrog
- Knowledgeable in tag management system and cookies
- Basic understanding on the website user experience that will enable improvements on websites and its performance
- Ability to work as part of a team, collaboration with clients and internal team while seeking advice from chapter leads as necessary
- Very keen on details is a must
