Our global team is partnering with IT to deliver an ecosystem of curated, enriched and protected sets of data – created from global, raw, structured and unstructured sources. Our CIB Big Data Lake is the largest aggregation of data ever within HSBC. We have over 1000 sources and a rapidly growing book of work. CIB are looking for Project Manager that will work on the end-to-end flow of a broad range of analytics use cases, to deliver real business value. From engaging with business stakeholders and understanding the problem, assisting data engineers, leading Agile Scrum teams and driving Agile Delivery processes.

• Lead Agile Scrum teams and driving Agile Delivery processes. Reflect Agile and Scrum values to the team and continuously improving process.  Continue learning regarding Agile and divulging information team members regarding process. Facilitate Agile ceremonies and meetings. Foster the developer team’s self-organisation.

• Provision of support with release planning, project tracking and monitoring.

• Release planning in coordination with other Agile teams for overall sprint planning.

• Develop Agile/DevOps engineering practices (one click releases, continuous delivery, feature flags, branching strategies etc,) 

• Mediate the general conflict of goals between the development team and product owner.

• Size and rank user stories and tasks. 

• Help the team to get rid of impediments. Report metrics and implement information radiators for the team as catalysts for change. 

• Maintain tools (Story board, Action board, charts, backlogs, etc.).  

• Contribute to and support to write or adapt product visions, write or split user stories, order product backlog items with the product owner. 

• 5+ years of experience in Agile SCRUM. 

• IT Development Management experience.

• Understanding of big data and cloud technologies.

• Ideally some experience in Business Analysis, understanding of Data and Data Tools such as SQL.

• Strong servant leadership skills & relationship management and networking skills. Excellent presentation, negotiating skills, communication and interpersonal skills.

• Proven experience in managing significant risks and problem resolution. 

• Experienced in scrum master and people management.

• Understanding and implementation of key agile artefacts. Understanding of Agile metrics and reporting. Release burn downs, Sprint Burn downs, Velocity etc. & User story mapping. Story point sizing and ranking according to value-based priorities for evaluation of a Minimum Viable Product.
