The main mission of Global Private Banking CLIENT LIFECYCLE MANAGEMENT (CLM) Department is to extend measures to fight money laundering, financial crime, tax evasion and terrorism financing.
The role of KYC Specialist is to provide professional and high-quality KYC analysis of corporate and individual HSBC customers, escalate risk concerns and actively contribute to the success of the team.
KYC Specialist is expected to share innovative ideas to increase quality, efficiency and effectiveness
of the process.

The KYC Specialist will proactively engage with RM team, provide advice and support throughout the customer pre-on boarding, on boarding and periodic reviews process with regards
to CDD policy implementation, and documentary requirements, ensuring Global Standards and Client Due Diligence requirements are met.

The job holder should be precise, detailed oriented and be able to establish a strong working relationship with the front office Relationship Manager team.

What you’ll do
    • Undertake robust research, customer screening, documents check, tax checks & validations, and financial crime risk assessment throughout entire relationship cycle.
    • Check/identifies for discrepancies between the information held in the customer's documentation and profile on the system.
    • Reviews and validated the quality of the due diligence and Know Your Customer (KYC) information on the bank's customers, in line with HSBC policies at on boarding and periodic reviews. Contribute to improving team's quality results.
    • Cooperate with other GPB booking centres & stakeholders to manage Change in circumstances for onshore advise offshore booked Customers (PAO - primary account officer model).
    • Perform ongoing Issue management (IM) monitoring in GPB core banking system for ETB Customers to ensure all changes to Customer circumstances (CIC) are identified in a timely manner and managed properly.

What you need to have to succeed in this role
    • Demonstrate an excellent knowledge of Banking Operations, Global Private Banking KYC process proven experience.
    • Experience with working with legal documentation.
    • Very Good English (oral and written)
    • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
    • Attention to detail
    • Strong team player
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, Confident communicator
