This role is part of the Business Finance team supporting Markets and Securities Services (MSS) which has been created to drive, shape and steward the end-to-end stress testing process globally for MSS. The role holder will contribute to development of effective capability that meets global regulatory requirements whilst offering quantitative and qualitative insight to support decision making within the bank.
Stress testing is a strategic and regulatory priority with ever increasing expectations. It is a vital component in assessing the bank’s vulnerabilities, determining capital adequacy and thereby the resilience of the bank through improved risk and capital management. As such, the role holder will have the responsibility for shaping and driving one of the most complex Finance and Risk management processes within the bank, with results driving capital requirements and the potential to affect our reputation, curtail dividends and remuneration.
The Finance Stress Test Analyst is responsible for formulation and production of financial metrics for of large scale complex stress tests like the PRA Stress Test and Group Internal Stress Tests, as well as contribution into local exercises such as EBA/ECB Stress Test, working with business and delivery partners across all regions within MSS. The individual will have the opportunity to shape the robust delivery of stress tests and acts as a role model, demonstrating active communication and commitment to constant process/methodology improvement.

What you’ll do
    • Production of Global MSS contribution to regulatory, ad hoc and business stress testing
    • Understands the metrics being produced and the underlying reasons for assumptions, modelling
    • Understands key business drivers for P&L, Balance Sheet and RWAs and their potential for change under stress conditions
    • Holistically understands the Group stress testing process end-to-end and how it pertains to the Trading business - in particular understanding delivery timeframes and outcomes
    • Liaises closely with other key functions - CFO, FRM, Traded Risk, Product Control, SP/ST delivery, RRP and, where necessary, co-ordinates cross-team working
    • Actively manages the resolution of risks, issues and dependencies
    • Helps shape the global stress testing execution framework as it pertains to MSS, including data submissions, base case projections and stress projections.
    • Plans effectively around execution constraints and optimises the plan to maximise regulatory deliverables and minimise risk.

What you need to have to succeed in this role
    • Proven delivery experience in a global and complex environment
    • Understanding of the financial and accounting associated with the MSS products and services
    • Understanding of Recovery and Resolution planning framework.
    • Proven experience of leading evolving frameworks in a challenging and changing finance environment
    • Proven experience of discussing complex analytical subjects with non-technical internal and external counterparts
    • Proven ability to work across regions whilst maintaining a global perspective
    • Demonstration of commerciality with strong financial acumen
    • Proven ability to work with senior stakeholders and business sponsors
    • Some knowledge of TM1 Management reporting would be advantageous

The pay range for this role is 15025 PLN - 18500 PLN (monthly, gross).

Variable pay is discretionary, but influenced by Group performance, business/function performance and individual performance.
