CIB & HBEU Baking T&P is responsible for world-class strategic transformation of COO, CIB & HBEU through smart execution. We act as strategic partners to business and create world class digital capabilities that enable HSBC Transformation and Performance team to digitize at scale and simplify the lives of our colleagues & customers. We are a team of ~500 globally, driving design, process excellence, process discovery & streamlining, business change, product ownership, simplification and automation across Value Streams (including but not limited to Client Onboarding and Servicing, Global Payment Solutions, Global Trade & Receivables Finance, Capital Markets, Sustainability, Platforms & Regulatory). 
The purpose of this role is to successfully shape and execute against HSBC’s CIB & HBEU, COO global strategic change & simplification agenda. CIB & HBEU Banking T&P Process Engineering Manager will collaborate with various Businesses across regions to successfully support and deliver Change and build Community for the Bank to streamline and digitize our products, propositions and internal processes. They will be accountable for the timely and high-quality delivery of initiatives, adhering to HSBC core practices, objectives & frameworks.


What you’ll do
    • Champion and execute process excellence and re-engineering initiatives across all global regions.
    • Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement, focusing on Lean Six Sigma (LSS) methodologies. Create and develop Lean Six Sigma-related materials and resources.
    • Lead the mobilisation of Black Belt, Green Belt, and Yellow Belt programmes, including preparation, invitations, training, examinations, and communications.
    • Organise and promote Process Engineering Community events, supporting community growth.
    • Conduct training sessions for LSS Black Belt, Green Belt, and Yellow Belt programmes. Drive and mentor productivity and efficiency-focused LSS improvement projects.
    • Assist in establishing standards for communication, newsletters, and reporting. 
    • Contribute to and lead initiatives related to Process Discovery and Data Discovery following LSS statistical tools. Explore and implement innovative working methods through automation and AI.
    • Facilitate the mobilisation and potential replication of Bloom Flow, the idea generation platform. Encourage a highly engaged team to consistently deliver high-quality outputs that exceed user expectations.

What you need to have to succeed in this role
    • Possesses experience in conducting training sessions and project coaching, with a focus on advancing the Lean Six Sigma agenda. Green Belt or Black Belt certification will be preferred. 
    • Demonstrated experience in project execution. Exhibits strong stakeholder management and influencing capabilities, with the ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders to ensure timely decision-making and action-taking.
    • Excellent communication, presentation, and articulation skills. Exceptional interpersonal and analytical skills. Capable of operating effectively in cross-functional, multicultural, and geographically diverse environments.
    • Attention to details, ability to focus on and accurately complete tasks, including identifying and rectifying small errors with no peer review needed.
    • Proficient in managing multiple initiatives concurrently while addressing ad-hoc tasks regularly.
    • Skilled in overcoming challenges and obstacles, developing innovative solutions, and working in an agile manner.
    • Proficient in both spoken and written English.
