Your career opportunity
As Transaction Services Manager, you will be responsible for managing lending for HSBC Continental Europe, supporting end-to-end credit customer journey across Corporate and Institutional Banking (‘CIB’).
What you’ll do
- Lead the team of Transaction Services Experts and Specialists supporting customers’ end to end credit journey.
- Champion service excellence - deliver exceptional customer experience by guiding teams to meet SLAs and maintain high quality standards.
- Enhance operational efficiency - aim for increased productivity to optimize service performance.
- Proactively oversee risk management and cultivate a robust risk awareness culture by ensuring timely identification and escalation of issues. Additionally, manage escalations, complaints, and service feedback effectively to uphold service excellence.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations / policies, procedures and timely support in audit reviews.
- Promote personal and team development by supporting skill growth and cross-training, while fostering a collaborative environment that values input and encourages effective cooperation across departments.
- Drive scalability and enhance digital journeys by fostering a change-oriented mindset across teams, while supporting the deployment of global technology and target operating models within Transaction Services, Credit, and Capital Management.
- Promote sustainability - engage in and lead sustainability initiatives that align with HSBC’s environmental goals. Support global technology and target operating model deployments across Transaction Services, Credit and Capital Management.
What you need to have to succeed in this role
- Strong communication and leadership skillset including proactivity and maturity in taken actions. Very good level of English (min. C1 both oral and written).
- Strong organization and planning skills along with the ability to handle capacity and MI reporting.
- Demonstrate highly customer centric approach and strong business acumen.
- Evidence of process management skills with an ability to initiate process improvements.
- Ability to challenge the status quo and drive change, through proactive engagement of all stakeholders.
- Analytical and problem-solving skillset including strong decision-making and influential skills.
- Demonstrated experience collaborating with senior stakeholders on credit risk, loan origination, and lending technology initiatives, underpinned by a strong understanding of HSBC Group’s structures, processes, and strategic objectives.
- A university degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field would be a value added.
What we offer
The pay range for this role is 9 225 - 13 833 (monthly, gross).
Variable pay is discretionary, but influenced by Group performance, business/function performance and individual performance.
