What you'll do
    • Lead Tax Reporting Operations: Own operational delivery for [VAT/CIT/WHT /other], ensuring accuracy, timeliness and adherence to internal governance and external regulation.
    • Strengthen risk and control environment: Embed sustainable controls, clear ownership, robust MI, and effective issue management aligned to HSBC’s risk framework.
    • Drive transformation and efficiency: Identify opportunities for standardisation, automation and process simplification; sponsor change initiatives and deliver measurable outcomes.
    • Act as a senior partner to Tax Advisory, Finance, Legal, Compliance, CIB stakeholders, auditors and regulators as required.
    • Build and develop high-performing teams, succession plans and a strong culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
    • Governance and escalation: Chair/lead appropriate forums, manage competing priorities, and provide clear executive-level reporting and escalations.
    • Consistently on-time, right-first-time delivery of reporting obligations. Demonstrable reduction in operational risk, control breaks and rework. Successful delivery of change/transformation milestones and benefits. Strong employee engagement, capability uplift and talent retention.

What you need to have to succeed in this role
    • Significant leadership experience in Tax Operations / Tax Reporting / Finance Operations within a complex, regulated environment (banking/financial services preferred).
    • Deep practical understanding of EU tax reporting obligations and operationalisation of tax requirements into controls and processes.
    • Proven track record leading teams through change, remediation and transformation.
    • Strong risk mindset: experience working with controls, audit, issue management and governance.
    • Excellent stakeholder management with the ability to influence across functions and levels.
    • Experience working across multi-country EU scopes and shared service / centre-of-excellence models - preferred.
    • Exposure to process automation, data-led controls, workflow tooling, or target operating model design -preferred.
    • Professional qualifications in tax/accounting/finance or equivalent experience - preferred.

What we offer
The pay range for this role is  20 241 PLN – 29 000 PLN (monthly, gross).
Additional car allowance in the amount of 4,786 PLN (monthly, gross).

Variable pay is discretionary, but influenced by Group performance, business/function performance and individual performance.
