Analytics, Digital & Architecture (ADA) team within Global Finance aspires to be the best finance function in the financial services industry, delivering powerful insights to our customers, within the bank and externally. We work as a seamless team to support HSBC’s businesses to deliver our strategy.
The ADA team supports Global Finance by developing sophisticated, high-quality models, analytics capabilities, and innovative analytics, providing seamless development through to deployment pipelines, and implementing best practices in Model Governance and ongoing monitoring. The team is also driving the business architecture and helping IT with the technical architecture.
With an impressive, varied book of work across ADA we are on the lookout for a Business Architect operating within the Treasury function.
What you’ll do
- Participate in the development of the Treasury business architecture strategy, including development of Forecasting capabilities within a new treasury platform called OTP.
- Apply a structured business architecture approach and methodology for capturing the key views of the services in term of service definition, capabilities, process mapping and data flow.
- Capture the tactical and strategic architecture milestones with traceability to the Treasury objectives mapped to key results that provide ongoing governance and enable management of technical debt and alignment to strategic direction.
- Define the data used with the Treasury sub-value streams and underlying processes and those shared across the enterprise and the relationships between those data. Embed these definitions as part of the Value Stream operating model and required handshakes with other value streams within Global Finance and the rest of the organisation.
- Work closely with business stakeholders, Quantitative Analysts and IT to create synergies across different functions and departments and contribute to the end-to-end design and planning.
What you need to have to succeed in this role
- Treasury functional expertise.
- Ability to recognize structural issues within an organisation, functional interdependencies and cross-silo redundancies. Ability to apply architecture principles to business solutions. Ability to assimilate and correlate disconnected documentation and drawings and articulate their collective relevance to high priority business issues.
- Experience using model-based representations that can be adjusted as required to collect, aggregate or disaggregate complex and conflicting information about the business. Extensive experience in planning and deploying business and IT initiatives. Extensive experience in modelling business processes.
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to communicate appropriately at all levels of the organization; this includes written and verbal communications as well as visualizations. Exceptional analytical, organizational, and project management skills, capable of handling complex tasks with precision.
- The ability to act as liaison conveying information needs of the business to IT and data constraints to the business; applies equal conveyance regarding business strategy and IT strategy, business processes and workflow automation, business initiatives and IT initiatives, and benefit realization and service delivery.
- Team player abilities - being able to work effectively at all levels of an organization with the ability to influence others to move toward consensus.
- Strong situational analysis and decision making abilities.
- The role requires a comprehensive understanding of several value units / products / regions / legal entities, alongside an advanced understanding of the industry and the relative positioning of the HSBC's products and services.
What we offer
The pay range for this role is 18 258 PLN - 30 000 PLN (monthly, gross).
Additional car allowance in the amount of 4,786 PLN (monthly, gross).
Variable pay is discretionary, but influenced by Group performance, business/function performance and individual performance.
