We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join this team in the role of Head of Expat International Referrals. 

The International Strategy, driven by International 3.0 is now core to the success of HSBC and a key priority for the group.  There are significant expectations for growth in customer base for international and this role will place a key part in growing the key corridor between the UK and Expat.

This role is based in the UK and will report into Head of International Propositions, HSBC CIIOM. The role has an individual scorecard for sales along with line management responsibility for a GCB5 and GCB6 based in the UK.

In this role, you will:

·          The Head of Expat International Referrals, UK will have full responsibility and ownership for all referrals from the UK to Expat across all channels including EBS, Partnerships, Branches, Contact Centers and Premier as well as working with UK Central teams to drive growth out of international existing portfolios. This corridor expectation is set on an annual basis and this role will be fully accountable for the full expectation.

·          Direct leadership for 2 FTE at GCB5 and GCB6 level, all based in the UK. As a team of 3 FTE, the team will be responsible for all corridor referrals from the UK to Expat.

·          This role will need to lead, develop, and inspire the team to achieve their goals both personally and for HSBC.

·          A key part of this role is collaboration with stakeholders specifically in the UK. This will be across all the channels and up to senior level.

·          They will also need to embed and promote a strong risk management, conduct, and grow safely culture.

·          Overall ownership of team adherence to Cross Border Controls.

Requirements

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

·          In-depth understanding of the International Network of HSBC

·          Understanding of the Cross Border framework and policies will be an advantage.

·          Strong analytical background

·          Complex proposition/project delivery

·          Knowledge of financial environment and products ideally within Expat.

·          Strong experience in sales process/business development at managerial level preferred

·          Demonstrated delivery of Business Development activities to drive meaningful outcomes.

·          Ability to think strategically and implement initiatives to put business strategy into practice.

·          Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to deal effectively with people at all levels from a wide range of business functions

·          High attention to detail and commitment to quality and excellence in delivery and outcomes

·          Excellent verbal & written communication

·          Excellent in Microsoft Office programs, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint
