  • The Integrity of Regulatory Reporting Programme (IRR) objective is to ensure end to end prudential regulatory reporting processes are uplifted to meet regulatory expectations. The programme is led by Finance but has cross-functional representation.
  • A remediation plan is being mobilised to deliver uplift in regulatory reporting through Risk and Finance Strategic Programmes (including Finance on The Cloud, Basel 3 Reforms, Risk 2025). IRR PRA will also deliver change through a direct book of remediation work to uplift processes and outcomes that will be delivered by in-flight strategic programmes.
  • Key areas of responsibility are: This role supports the IRR Traceability Central Team with a focus on core regulatory reporting controls, driving the traceability of core PRA returns. It involves developing and enhancing controls to ensure compliance with policy and programme requirements, while working cross-functionally to maintain report integrity, meet regulatory standards, and support audit readiness through well-documented traceability and governance.

What you’ll do:

Impact on the Business/Function

  • Supporting the Traceability Data Lead in developing tactical and strategic tooling solution.
  • Data analysis role with programming skills, excel and data manipulation of systems interfaces.
  • Understanding of regulatory returns and/or large complex data model in financial services space will be preferred and providing oversight/ direction to the Delivery Controls and Tools & Standards functions.
  • Ability to a provide a proactive focus on risk/issue identification and mitigation, recognising where MI should be escalated for further review.
  • Support with compilation of senior management reports as needed.
  • Ensure the quality, consistency, and timeliness Traceability reporting for the IRR PRA Programme.
  • Support in the delivery of the project plan and escalate as appropriate.
  • Reporting programme deliverables as required.
  • Manage engagements with service providers as necessary.
  • Maintain strong, collaborative working relationships across the IRR Programme, Finance, Risk, and other stakeholder groups.

Presentation of packs

  • Meeting presentation pack preparation, management of meeting membership and minutes/decision capture and follow up on actions assigned.
  • Produce monthly MI, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.

Customers / Stakeholders

  • Support preparation of senior executive level updates to provide accurate, timely and insightful analysis of the progress of the overall IRR PRA programme.
  • Build strong relationships, adopting a joined-up approach, to support execution of the IRR PRA programme at pace and with minimum conflict.
  • Provide support to ensure that internal and external regulatory requirements are met.
  • Support the identification of the stakeholder goals and effectively manage their expectations, addressing any misalignment.

  • Build relationships with internal customers at a global and regional level to understand their objectives.
  • Understand and manage client/stakeholders’ requirements and expectations to ensure customer satisfaction.

Documentation Management

  • Ensure that all cost control files, headcount reconciliations and governance packs are accurately reflected in line with the Programme cadence, Change Framework alignment and Audit Requirements.
  • Help ensure the necessary documents are stored and catalogued clearly.

Role Context (The environment and operating conditions of the role including the extent of guidance and authority)

  • The role holder will support the IRR Central Team and other senior members of the IRR Programme to delivery end to end Traceability back to the regulatory rule.
  • The role holder will be required to be part of an intelligent and effective Central Team which is responsible for the overall successful cost management of the IRR PRA Programme.
  • This role will be a key support to the IRR Central Team throughout the implementation of Traceability.

Management of Risk (Operational Risk / FIM requirements)

  • Maintain awareness of operational risk and minimise the likelihood of it occurring. This includes its identification, assessment, mitigation and control, loss identification and reporting in accordance with section 4 of the Group Operations FIM.

Observation of Internal Controls (Compliance Policy / FIM requirements)

  • The role holder will also adhere to and be able to demonstrate adherence to internal controls. This will be achieved by adherence to all relevant procedures, keeping appropriate records and, where appropriate, by the timely implementation of internal and external audit points, including issues raised by external regulators.
  • The role holder will contribute to implementation of the Group compliance policy by understanding compliance risk in liaison with the relevant Compliance Department. The term ‘compliance’ embraces all relevant financial services laws, rules and codes with which the business has to comply.
  • This will be achieved by adhering to all relevant processes/procedures and by liaising with Compliance department about new business initiatives at the earliest opportunity.

The role holder will be directly responsible for the following:

  • Support the IRR Traceability Central Team with a strong focus on reporting traceability, ensuring alignment with regulatory and internal expectations.
  • Manage traceability across core PRA returns with focus around Market Risk, IRRBB, preparing and maintaining a traceability artefact, and supporting accuracy of regulatory reporting outputs through traceability controls.
  • Develop, support and enhance controls to ensure report integrity, accuracy, and completeness across the end-to-end reporting lifecycle.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policy requirements and traceability programme standards, particularly in relation to reporting and governance.
  • Work collaboratively across functions including Risk, Finance, Data, and Technology to ensure cohesive delivery and continuous improvement in traceability standards.
  • Proactively identify gaps and risks in existing traceability or control frameworks and support the implementation of appropriate remediation actions.
  • Support audits by maintaining well-documented traceability records and responding to information requests in a timely and accurate manner.

Requirements

What you will need to succeed in the role:

  • Strong understanding of regulatory reporting concepts, with practical experience in regulatory reporting, particularly PRA returns.
  • Analytical and detail-oriented mindset, with the ability to critically assess reporting / data flows, identify control gaps, and propose effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage and influence cross-functional teams including Risk, Finance, Data, and Technology.
  • Strong documentation and audit-readiness capability, with experience supporting internal and external inspections or reviews.
  • Proactive, delivery-focused approach, able to work independently and manage priorities in a fast-paced and evolving regulatory landscape.
  • Regulatory experience essential, particularly in a reporting context, and across all aspects of regulatory reporting.
  • Outstanding relationship management, collaboration and influencing skills.
  • Ability to influence and drive strong Finance and cross-functional teamwork.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.

  • Experience working as a Business Analyst. Previous experience working in a change role would be advantageous but is not essential.

  • Good communication skills - applicable through multiple channels (written, spoken, workshops, presentations)
  • Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability of organizational planning, resource mobilization and problem solving.
  • Be able to act quickly and complete deliverables timely in a faced-paced environment. Ability to work effectively under pressure with competing and rapidly changing priorities.
