Department: WPB Technology

In this role, you will:

  • Perform Monthly forecast for WPB IT direct expense in close liaison with Service Line Manager
  • Present the monthly movement between Target and Latest Estimate / Forecast to Senior management with proper justification
  • Liaise with Internal team like RTB Finance, CTB Finance, Shared Service Finance team and Service Line managers for Forecast and AOP input
  • Charges to Business (CTTB) Reporting – Analysis and Explain of Plan vs Actuals vs FY Forecast
  • Participate in Annual Operating Plan from defining process and guideline to the finalisation of numbers.
  • Monthly Accruals/Prepayments process for third party spend covering largely professional services non Perm Resource, SW License & Maintenance
  • Governance of aged accruals
  • Resolving all accrual and billing related queries working closely with IT Managers
  • Submission of pass through billing consumption
  • Perform under/over recovery analysis and take appropriate action to resolve any gap
  •  Manage and deliver Software Capitalisation and Impairment for whole of WPB IT
  • Preparation of month end MI Packs for variances and presenting the same to senior management
  • Knowledge of Pioneer, GPDM , HIBS and Discover, will have added advantage. 
  • Understanding of Pioneer copy process and timelines
  • Knowledge of GPDM navigation as well as budget interlocks process
  • Understanding of HIBS billing process is key to the role
  • Hands on knowledge of Clarity, Fusion and TPS system.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • IT Cost Management and controlling experience
  • Knowledge of month end accounting processes like accruals/prepayments and complexities involved around
  • Experience of a project based environment
  •  Reporting and explaining financials to senior stakeholders
  • Resilient with strong influencing skills. Able to hold their own in a conflict situation with senior Mgt.
  • Ability to challenge the status quo and strive for operational excellence through continuous improvement
  • Self-starter and able to work autonomously, with little direction
  • Advanced Excel Knowledge
  • Experience of managing technology financials within a financial institution; desirable not essential
  • Fluent in English with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with the ability to distil key facts from complex issues and present them appropriately to the audience, business or technical, junior or senior;
  • Ability to work autonomously under pressure to tight deadlines, prioritising work in a multi-client environment where demand exceeds supply and resolving the conflicts that result;
  • Experience working in Financial and Banking sector with good exposure to project management with a proven ability to deliver end to end corporate communications and governance projects.
  •  Highly disciplined approach to documentation standards, including version control management
  • Experience of working on global initiatives, engaging with team members and stakeholders in multiple locations.
  • MBA Finance / CA / ICWA with 8 – 10 years of experience
  • Good process analysis and problem solving skills;
  •  Ability to drive change and improvement to existing processes and to create new processes;
  • Decision-maker – considered and timely especially when under pressure;
  • Ability to build relationships by communicating, influencing and negotiating effectively with business heads, senior managers, company secretariats, business managers, governance managers across the whole department and business users;
  • Willingness to own work and problems and see through to completion and to use own initiative to resolve issues, whilst dealing with a diverse range of people;
  • Strong interpersonal skills, coupled with the ability to succeed within a matrix management structure and build and maintain global team relationships;
  • Ability to work with resources based in other locations;
  •  Proven ability to prioritise workload effectively in line with business priorities;
  • ‘Can Do’ attitude. Willing to turn a hand to whatever task is required;
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, work independently, proactively and under pressure against multiple deadlines
  • Self-motivation, and a proven rapid learning capability in a changing environment are essential;
  • Drive and tenacity to ensure change is effectively implemented in a matrix environment. Experience of working in teams across dispersed geographies;
  • Committed to personal and professional development.
