Purpose of Department

  • GPS CMO supports 50+ countries on e-Channels such as HSBCnet, and Connect off six locations (Bangalore, Taikoo Hui, Mexico City and Cairo). Functional and operational support provided to the business covers end to end journey of the customers’ digital experience and is of varied complexity covering Contact Centers, General Processing and Project Based Teams such as testing, implementation, Corporate cards and Client services etc.
  • The GBB Client Servicing Helpdesk in GSC Bangalore provides general knowledge, technical and consultancy support on generic product-related queries to Business Banking customers (turnover below US $6.5m) from Canada, USA, India at first. The scope for the team will expand in 2021 to more markets.

The Opportunity:

  • Under the leadership of Global Head – GBB Client Servicing, Senior Associate Ops Support takes responsibility for support roles such as:  Operation Desk resourcing, administrative tasks, systems, IT, premises, new hire recruitment, MI, Analysis and head count management.
  • The output from this operational area is critical in managing a high-performance customer centric culture and the Sr. Associate is directly responsible for the delivery of results within agreed upon timelines for internal customers.

What you’ll do:

  • Analyses and interprets complex data and makes high quality and timely decisions within a business context. Applies entrepreneurial and business thinking to deliver customer satisfaction, revenue growth, control costs, and manage risks whilst understanding the trade offs
  • Develops direct reports and ensures accuracy of the reports, programs and projects that are created within the team
  • Operational site support, resourcing, administration, diary management, handling of confidential information, IT Helpdesk.
  • Continually reassess and ensure operational risks are minimized, internal controls are adhered to and regulatory and compliance requirements are met.
  • Drive adoption of digital capability where it exists
  • Plan and prioritize work appropriately e.g. considering importance, urgency, customer and business impact
  • Committed in achieving department and organization goals and objectives
  • Supports the Site Lead in transformation projects
  • Coordinates findings and resolutions of HSBC internal control audits
  • Demonstrate ROI on all initiatives
Requirements

What you will need to succeed in the role:

  • Graduation in any discipline
  • Ability to speak and understand English fluently.
  • Ability to grasp quickly and ability to understand and interpret numeric data.
  • Ability to analyse complex data and create visual dashboards.
  • Flexibility to work shifts

What additional skills will be good to have?

  • Ability to build rapport with people.
  • Ability to maintain focus while working with voluminous data
  • Good knowledge of advanced Excel and Visual basics (VBA) is a must.
  • Experience in Tableau visualization of reports, Python and Alteryx skills good to have
