- Today, the CIB D&A team generates value across the group through a wide variety of data and analytic solutions and related business consulting. CIB D&A has become a one-stop shop for the CIB D&A section of the group’s analytic needs leading the integration of analytics and data-driven decisions not only in traditional areas such as CIB D&A & Commercial Banking but also in new domains such as Regulatory, Operations, Procurement, Credit & Lending, IT Infrastructure, and Financial Crime Risk. It provides support to various business groups and the job involves data analysis, model and strategy development & implementation, Business Intelligence, reporting and data management and analysis.
- The team based out of multiple locations across the GSCs (India/China/Mexico/Poland) providing analytics, data & insight support to various CIB D&A, CMB/ GB portfolios. Team’s focus is on using logical thought process and relevant statistical techniques and right tools & techniques & productize scaled solutions to analyse product portfolio metrics and risk behaviour to arrive at value-based optimum decisions
The Opportunity:
- The person is expected to execute various descriptive analysis and develop data-oriented solutions involving models to dashboards to support business decisions across various domains of Commercial Banking.
- Lead complex business analytics, data science projects, dashboard product development and subsequent analytics request operations independently
- Complete analysis as required and document results and present findings to stakeholders and collaborate to implement solutions
- Execute moderate to complex analysis and strategy with proper directions
What you’ll do:
Principal Accountabilities and Responsibilities (e.g., for Business, Customers and Stakeholders; internal control environment, etc.)
- Provide analytical support to Global / Regional business teams spanning risk operations analytics, product analytics and customer journey and experience.
- Data Quality Analysis and exploratory data analysis leading to identification of appropriate datasets apt for analytics use cases.
- Develop data-based approaches to business problems including descriptive and predictive analytics
- Trend Analysis and Dashboard Creation based on Visualization techniques primarily on Qliksense
- Converse with IT teams to maintain complex tech infrastructure while developing Analytics use cases.
- Understands business objective of the project and should work with independently to implement the solution
- Execute the assigned projects/ analysis as per the agreed timelines and with accuracy and quality
- Independently delivers end to end on simple projects. Should assist in delivery of more complicated analyses/strategy under supervision of the team lead within agreed timelines and as per agreed quality standards
- Produce high quality data and reports which support process improvements, decision-making and achievement of performance targets across the respective Business Areas.
- Complete analysis as required and document results and formally present findings to management
- Responsible for developing and executing Business Intelligence / analytical initiatives in line with the objectives laid-down by business, using from different structured and unstructured data sources.
- Understand business requirements enough to be able to produce, automate, analyses and interpret analysis reports and support the compliance and regulatory requirements. Responsible for effectively deliver the projects within timeline and at desired quality level
- Should be able to resolve queries/issues associated with a project.
- Ensure adherence with all the applicable compliance policies (Data security policy, AML, operational risk, Functional manual, Group Compliance Manual, Audit recommendations, Internal Control requirements, regulatory guidelines etc.) and business standards of Organization as applicable. Take timely action on Audit comments and be able to demonstrate compliance with Internal controls.
What you will need to succeed in the role:
Functional Knowledge
- 5 years’ experience required in the data analytics industry. Knowledge and understanding of banking and financial services preferred
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree from reputed university in Engineering / Economics / Math’s or Stats.
- Expert data analysis skills involving SQL, Python, Pyspark and Excel. Should be conversant with operating on complex end to end tech stacks.
- Strong visualization skills. Qlik Sense, Power BI.
- Strong story telling skills. Can showcase analysis using interesting visuals .
- Strong analytical skills and detail oriented. Understand connections between business domain and data and ability to connect dots between multiple use cases.
- Good communication skills in both written and spoken. Ability to develop and effectively communicate complex concepts and ideas independently to business stakeholders
- Ability to work in cross-functional teams. Strong interpersonal skills and drive for success
- Independent worker with high drive and can support Global teams with demanding work hour
- Analytical thought process and aptitude for problem solving
