The Regional Financial Crime Detection Teams are client-facing representatives physically based in different regions across the world. Their key mandate is to consult with and support Financial Crime in identifying and satisfying their needs about model-related, system-related and process-related.
The ASP FCD will assist local and regional stakeholders (LoB and Compliance) by mobilizing the relevant FCD services such as model design, development or validation to address local and regional needs. It will also vet and challenge global initiatives on behalf of local and regional stakeholders (risk owners and risk stewards)."
The Opportunity:
The Product Owner (PO) is a member of Financial Crime Detection and Investigation Value Stream, working in agile environment and is responsible for defining Epics and Stories and prioritizing the team backlog to streamline the execution of program priorities while maintaining the conceptual and technical integrity of the features or components for the team.
What you’ll do:
- Manage the development and deployment of technical product capabilities and rationalisation of product functionality.
- Perform effective stakeholder engagement and user interaction at all levels leading to informed and well-judged trade-offs and priority decisions to maximise business benefit.
- Gain insight into customer needs and championing customer’s preferences in order to direct the product vision embedding latest technology ensuring product remains commercial.
- Providing support in articulating the product vision of what is to be built, and convey that vision to the Agile software development team.
- Clearly identify and describe product backlog items in order to build a shared understanding of the problem and solution with the product development team.
- Apply expected/agreed agile practices and ceremonies, and be advocate of the agile way of working, communicate/educate stakeholders and business.
What you will need to succeed in the role:
- Proven Product Management / Product Ownership experience in a complex global environment, preferably within the financial services industry.
- Knowledge on data platform and data, including use of banking data for financial crime risk management, data management, governance controls, privacy compliance, scalable engineering solutions to enable seamless data accessibility and innovation is highly preferred.
- Knowledge on managing data analytics platform and tooling to support analytics work is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of transaction monitoring and payments.
- Proficiency in OKR, Design thinking, prototyping, iterative development, Scrum, and Agile product development.
- Strategic thinker with a Product mindset.
- Strong Jira and Confluence experience.
- Strong focus on DevOPS delivery.
- Proven ability in leading technology teams using agile methodology and nurturing the talent. (Desirable).
- Clear understanding and experience of the business requirements and should able to translate the business requirement in technical outcome/Epic and Stories.
- Ability to work with IT teams to deliver on tight schedules.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate technical matters effectively with senior leaders in Compliance/ business sponsors.
- Results driven mindset with a proven track record to prioritize and deliver against multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Proven ability to work across regions whilst maintaining a global perspective. (Desirable)
- Requirements gathering experience and conducting design activity, with a mix of business, operations and technology focused products/ projects.
- Strong negotiation skills. (Desirable).
What additional skills will be good to have?
- Exposure to WOLF Sanctions Screening solutions or other Transaction Screening products.
