The Opportunity:

Role purpose

• This role is responsible for helping the Global Procurement function make better decisions and drive mission critical business outcomes through unlocking business insights from data; this is typically through building visualizations, insights, self-service analytics and high-quality reusable data assets.
• BI developer is responsible for designing, developing and maintaining the business intelligence solutions to enable data driven decision making. Create dashboard reports and data models ensuring data accuracy and accessible for stakeholders.

What you’ll do:

Principal Accountabilities and Responsibilities (e.g., for Business, Customers and Stakeholders; internal control environment, etc.)

• Responsible for helping the Global Procurement function by Designing, developing Qlik dashboards including integration with databases and deploy on Qlik server environments.
• Contributing to the execution of the Business Intelligence Roadmap across Global Procurement function to establish disciplines and procedures for developing and adoption of Qlik dashboards.
• Working with various levels of management, BI stakeholders, Business Relationship managers, Business Analysts and key users to identify and build reporting requirements.
• Performing complex data analysis by analyzing data, create KPIs and build reports/dashboards to address business questions.
• Translating business problems to analytical frameworks and ability to extract actionable insights from data. Conduct maintenance and fine-tuning of dashboard design; applying industry best practices to the management and maintenance of visualization design.
• Support business transition and help to establish change, managing the acceptance of all agreed deliverables by the business requestor. Implement Agile and Waterfall development practices on all dashboard development projects. Complete any assigned service desk calls within agreed SLA.
• Create/Manage and own data quality dashboards allowing analytics teams to see any issues with incoming data and alert the business where needed.
• Create high-quality documentation, detailing data lineage, transformation rules, data sources and business processes used in delivering analysis.

What you will need to succeed in the role:

Functional Knowledge

• Understanding of Procurement life cycle and awareness of Procurement applications, application of same on data and analysis
• Proficient in SQL, ETL framework, Alteryx, Python, GCP, Qlik sense preferred
• Exceptional analytical skills with a strong understanding of the power and value of data with an ability to apply technology solutions to meet business needs and solve problems
• Experience with business tools like JIRA, Confluence.
• Strong coding and analysis skills, by using SQL/Python.
• Advance with Big query concepts and subjects and an ability to up-skill in the future.
• Advanced skilled on data visualization technologies such as Looker, Qlik (desirable).
• Think critically and analytically to solve problems and make data-driven decisions.
• Expertise in SQL/Big Query. Hands-on experience with at least one of the reporting tool – Qlik/Power BI/ML having knowledge of SRE / Reliability engineering or ITIL
• Proven experience on Qlik developments and Data Governance

Others

• Ensure that all data integrated into applications is accurate, consistent, and reliable. Implement controls to validate data sources and transformations, minimizing the risk of data discrepancies that could impact business decisions.
• Develop and maintain role-based access controls to ensure that only authorized users can view or manipulate sensitive data. Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and internal security policies, safeguarding the confidentiality and integrity of data.
• Regularly monitor the performance of applications to ensure they meet operational standards. Implement control mechanisms to identify and resolve performance issues, ensuring that applications are responsive and deliver timely insights.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of applications, including data models, transformations, and control processes. Conduct periodic audits to ensure that applications and data processes adhere to defined control frameworks and meet organizational standards.
• Establish procedures for managing and resolving data-related incidents within applications. Analyze incidents to identify root causes and implement improvements to prevent future occurrences, enhancing the overall control environment.
