The Opportunity:

  • Role is part of a Group/Global Compensation specialist team responsible for key Reward activities across HSBC network. Job holder will be responsible for delivering Reporting, Analytics and Insights on the full range of P&R activities and plays a significant role in overseeing the development and implementation of successful delivery of P&R projects and initiatives, ensuring they align with the Global guidelines, the HR policies.

What you’ll do:

  • Support delivery of various key Reward activities such as variable pay pool modelling, building and implementing fixed pay ranges, market benchmarking analysis, annual pay review reporting and analytics for the HSBC Group / Global Businesses or Functions.
  • Support preparation and completion of critical dashboards / reports for Group or Global compensation specialist teams.  Understand the data needs and utilise HSBC systems to consolidate compensation data required and complete relevant reports/analytics.
  • Work with key stakeholders to prepare, analyse, present meaningful reporting that drives effective and meaningful business insights.
  • Communicate complex problems and data analysis to key decision makers in a simple, articulate manner using appropriate tools and visualisation.
  • Extract reports from multiple sources and convert raw data into presentable, digestible, and actionable recommendations and insights
  • Maintain high data integrity that can be relied upon to make informed business decisions, by working with other members of the HR COEs like HR Reporting, HRBPs, Delivery Services etc to improve data accuracy within the internal systems.
  • Ensure data maintenance and accuracy of databases, according to the Group Performance and Reward architecture.
  • Create, improve, and automate standard reports and develop new reports.
  • Exhibit ownership of own work and ability to work independently with minimal guidance.
  • Build professional relationships with colleagues in Performance & Reward function, HRBPs, Business area across countries, regions, and global teams.

Requirements

What you will need to succeed in the role:

  • Bachelor or master in HR, economics or mathematics or engineering disciplines.
  • At least 4-5 years experience in data analysis and reporting.
  • Very high proficiency in MS Excel, including VBA.
  • Experience in complex data analysis and experience of working with analytical tools and methods e.g. statistical methods or tools including BI platforms such as R, Python, PowerBI or similar tools will be an added advantage.
  • Understand business needs and objectives.
  • Ability to create detailed spreadsheets, charts and presentations.
  • Excellent analytical thinking, problem solving skills, clarity of thought and expression, consultative approach.
  • Experience working for a HR/Reward analytics function is a plus.
  • Ability to perform in high-pressure environment should be effective in a flexible work environment.
