We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Media Relations Manager, CMB.

The role of HSBC’s Communications Businesses and Markets team is to protect and strengthen the bank’s reputation through communications strategies that help advance our customers’ goals and our own.

In this role you will:

•    Be responsible for driving business growth through brand attraction that gains the attention of customers and colleagues. 
•    Manage external communications and the handling reputational media issues.
•    Work collaboratively to provide guidance to communications teams on the local execution of the UK media relations strategy.
•    Develop and deploy effective positioning for proactive media campaigns and strategic announcements. 
•    Provide insight, analysis and counsel to senior managers and the Head of Media Relations, HSBC UK & Head of Communications UK CMB.

Requirements

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

•    Excellent Stakeholder management skills with an ability represent HSBC with key national and regional media at senior levels.
•    Strong leadership skills and experience of managing complex communications teams.
•    Ability to communicate and present information whilst understanding board level requirements.
•    Broad knowledge of communication trends and best practice.
•    Ability to problem solve under pressure.
