Operations Shared Services (OSS) drives operations' performance standards, service excellence, and consistency across the Group and our Global Service Centres (GSCs). This central team oversees areas such as business intelligence, cost management, reporting, billing and regulatory compliance. In addition, through its GSC Capabilities team, they are responsible for enterprise-wide workforce management, location strategy, future skills, and group common services (AI, automation, and other strategic initiatives).
We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as an Operations Design and Delivery Lead (12 months short term assignment).
Principal Responsibilities
- Define operational problem statements and mobilize initiatives.
- Navigate complex matrix environments and manage ambiguity.
- Executive reporting, including drafting presentations for senior management.
- Scenario modeling and strategic projects to simplify operations.
- Build strong cross-functional relationships and facilitate stakeholder alignment.
- Utilize benchmarking and market intelligence for location strategy refinement
- Shape end-to-end operating model to align with business strategy and regulatory requirements.
- Drive process simplification, standardization, and scalability
To be successful you will need
- Overall financial services industry knowledge with specific functional expertise ideal
- Previous management consulting experience in any of the Big-4s highly desirable.
- Experience of working closely with Strategy and Planning and the business / function board ideal
- Demonstrated ability to build, maintain and navigate the organisation using formal / informal networking skills
- Experience in managing others and directing work efforts to achieve objectives effectively and efficiently
- Confidence to challenge – advising and a willingness to speak up when it counts. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and experience in face-to-face presentation
- Analytical reasoning and excellent problem-solving ability in complex ambiguous situations
- Experienced in working with and senior bank executives (GB/GF CEOs/COO/CIOs). Strong financial understanding and modelling skills
