The Opportunity:
- The Business Risk and Resilience (BRR) plays an important role in enabling the bank to operate within its risk appetite, by ensuring efficient and effective risk and control management.
- The BRR achieves this by providing operational risk and control expertise, conducting high quality reviews of the bank's control environment, conducting end to end control assurance reviews on key controls, maintaining robust risk governance focused on material risk and issues, and evolving a culture of continuous and consistent risk management
What you’ll do:
- Work closely with onshore market R&C leads to note the requirements of any change in risk management tools due to changes in regulatory requirements, internal policy updates.
- Help implementing Operation Risk Management Framework and related procedures across ASP Markets
- Help in planning and implementing the methodologies to conduct reviews for thematic reviews or read across projects.
- Act as the liaising point with Onshore Senior Stakeholders (including Risk Stewards) to undertake trigger event reviews (internal and external incidents) and help in completing root causes.
- Collate review findings and help prepare a report of findings for each of the thematic review, read across or any other control assurance activity.
- Coordinate, prioritize and manage ad-hoc projects assigned through sufficient communication with various stakeholders
What you will need to succeed in the role:
- Fulltime Graduation from recognized universities with 2 to 5 years work experience
- Good understanding of operational risk and controls preferably gained through experience in front line and/or risk roles
- Prior experience should consist of assurance reviews/control testing
- Good command of written and spoken English
What additional skills will be good to have?
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, etc.)
- Previous experience in banking/financial institutions is an advantage
