The Opportunity:

• Securities Services provides robust and reliable solutions that enhance performance and mitigate risk, today and in the future. Working with institutional investors, banks, insurance companies, governments and multinational corporations, Securities Services offers a range of fund administration, global custody, sub-custody and clearing, and corporate trust and loan agency services.
• The Custody organization is a global team within Securities Services (SSv) responsible for the development and delivery of products within the Custody asset class. This role sits within the Asset Services Product offering where we are embarking on a journey of transforming our Asset Services offering and platforms across our Global Custody & Direct Custody businesses.
• We are seeking an experienced business analyst who will be working on our platform implementation change programme and assisting in the delivery of key value stream(s) that make up part of our strategic digital transformation agenda. The role holder will be responsible for leading the the Stock Borrowing and Lending initiatives for Asset Services and ensuring the proposed solution aligns with standard Corporate Actions processing model.

What you’ll do:

• Collaborate with business partners, technology groups, suppliers & customers to design best solutions for Asset Services with specific focus on Securitieis Lending and Collateral.
• Define product and operations requirements and system goals through partnership with the relevant teams and end users.
• Filter, prioritize and validate complex material from multiple sources and perform other duties & functions as assigned.
• Develop and document clear and detailed process maps, business requirements, implementation roadmaps as well as test plans.
• Work as a value stream under product component team to implement the designed solution.
• Analyse message specifications and define data models for standardization.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with the product, operations & technology teams.
• Consider the business implications of the application of solutions to the current business environment.
• Improve ways of working through regular retrospectives and engagement with project teams and partner functions

What you will need to succeed in the role:

• Knowledge of Corporate Actions, Securities Lending and Collateral management within a Custodian or Broker Dealer environment is a must.
• Experience with system development programme in agile / waterfall approach is a must.
• Strong analytical thought process with an ability to manage ambiguity and an aptitude for problem solving
• Strong written and verbal communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex information clearly depending on audience (e.g. internal stakeholders, clients etc)
• Willingness to challenge and ask probing questions to validate priorities, proposed solutions and realisation of benefits.
• Flexibility in approach, and the ability to show initiative and respond quickly to changing situations.
• Thrives working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment working across different groups and time zones with ability to work autonomously while being mindful of when to seek guidance and approval
• Experience with delivering change in Agile frameworks: this may include formal qualifications and/or certified online courses and/or evidence of practical experience.
• Knowledge of Post Trade, Equities or Fixed Income within a Custodian or Broker Dealer environment for Settlements, or Asset Services is highly desirable but not essential for this role.
• Sound understanding of IT infrastructure and software development
