We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Senior Business Development Manager, Insurance. 

Principal Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement distribution strategies and models to achieve high growth and profitability from targeted segments of the High Net Worth (HNW) Partnerships distribution channels
  • Grow business financial targets by exploring new business opportunities including developing HNW products to access additional market segments and engagement preferences of the consumers
  • To achieve segment targets by growing differentiated, sustainable channels according to Strategic Plan targets that will improve Distribution Key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • To collaborate with Product Development Team to leverage composite license to provide profitable products to support Wealth Personal Banking distribution network
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of a robust distribution model to ensure consistency and efficiency of distribution channels and segments
  • Achieve set planned targets by developing operating models and processes to support sales through HNW distributors as well as Private Banking
  • By evaluating and mapping out new distribution strategies/models/processes and/or enhance existing models
  • By maintaining a high level of submission-to-inception ratio
  • Leadership, teamwork, train and develop a strong technical sales force to support Consultants, Relationship Managers (RMs)/Specialists
  • Look to create best practices to ensure Distributors’ frontliners are properly trained in product, sales methods and compliance
  • Work with Product Head and Business Heads to create additional joint client campaign activities
  • Conduct branch huddles and coordinate training programs for distributors
  • Customer and distributor satisfaction targets from surveys or other customer touch points
  • Work with Product team to maintain and create tracking report for marketing intelligence on product offerings, gather feedback from distribution channels, consultants, insurance specialists, RMs, and customers
  • Case Management including facilitation and oversight of the internal operation - submission to inception ratios targets; length of time in each case processing steps (SLAs)
  • Ensure self and team activities comply with relevant legal/regulatory requirements and HSBC practice standards and procedures by implementing a high level of HSBC Life brand and value awareness
  • Plan deck strategy and analysis/commentary of Management Information
  • Support the implementation of insurance strategic projects within the channels
  • Implement guidelines established by HSBC Group / Life
  • Assist the team to instil compliance culture within the business in line with the Group Standards
Requirements
  • Have an in-depth understanding of the landscape in the insurance industry in Singapore
  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in life insurance preferably in sales management
  • Sound knowledge of the life insurance, Business/Commercial Banking and Private Banking business, the various distribution channels segments, products and processes
  • Have strong project management skills
  • Ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders
  • Experiences in execute strategic plans and their impact on the business
