We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Cost & Commercial Supplier Manager (Workplace Experience & Operations and Hospitality).

 

Role Purpose:

 

A senior commercial leadership role responsible for global supplier governance, cost management, and strategic alignment across Workplace Experience & Operations (WE&O) and Hospitality services. This position ensures suppliers deliver high-quality, compliant, and cost-effective services that enhance the HSBC workplace experience and operational resilience.

In this role you will:

  • Develop and implement a global supplier management framework for WE&O and Hospitality partners.
  • Lead contractual governance, commercial negotiations, and financial oversight of major FM and hospitality contracts.
  • Drive supplier performance through Service Level Agreements (SLAs), Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and structured governance forums.
  • Partner with Real Estate, Legal, Finance, Risk, and Procurement to ensure compliance and operational continuity.
  • Manage cost allocation, budgeting, and financial reporting across global and regional markets.
  • Identify and deliver cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality and compliance.
  • Oversee third-party risk management and contribute to the operational risk framework.
  • Provide leadership, training, and communication for global WE&O and Hospitality communities.

 

Requirements

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

 

Technical Skills:

 

  • Strong financial acumen and commercial mindset, with expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and optimisation.
  • In-depth knowledge of the supplier base (e.g. Jones Lang Lasalle) and global FM/hospitality markets.
  • Comprehensive understanding of core Facilities Management services and workplace experience objectives.
  • Proven experience managing Facilities Management and Hospitality/Catering costs across strategic and global third-party contracts.
  • Skilled in global-to-regional cost allocation, including design and application of allocation metrics.
  • Experienced in creating and implementing cost management frameworks, policies, and performance dashboards.
  • Ability to identify and deliver cost savings while maintaining service quality, compliance, and efficiency.
  • Financial planning expertise, engaging suppliers to ensure all costs are captured, validated, and articulated to executive management.

This role is based in Birmingham or Sheffield and the successful candidates will be expected to work a Hybrid week.
