Department- GDT

In this role, you will: 
•    Be managing core infrastructure ever greening and migrations. 
•    Understand Solution design documents and work with application teams to install /configure applications.
•    Working with application teams on In-place upgrades to 2019 version. 
•    Remediate any infrastructure related vulnerabilities and help application teams to fix any vulnerabilities in applications also. 
•    Ensure monitoring in place via various monitoring and alerting tools like SCOM & SPLUNK etc.
•    Ensure service resilience, service sustainability and recovery time objectives are met for all the software solutions delivered on the platforms.
•    Support Infrastructure and application DevOps teams with changes and releases. 
•    Be aware of the ongoing infrastructure issues and vigilant to avoid / minimize downtime of services. 
•    Identify operational risks and contribute to mitigate the same.
•    Identify service delivery issues (SLA Slippages, Quality etc.), and implement corrective actions.
•    As part of wider pool of Infra Engineers, identify where you can contribute to automation of daily tasks and ready to cross skill /up skill yourself.

 

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

•    Hands on working experience in all aspects of the Windows OS and versions from 2012, 2016, 2019 (Performance Monitoring, NTFS Permissions, Clustering, DFS etc)
•    Ability to communicate effectively at all levels through a variety of mediums both verbally and written.
•    Strong knowledge on Vulnerability management and remediation actions to be taken. 
•    Should be flexible to work in weekend change support rota. 
•    Expertise in Power shell or Python or Shell scripting. 
•    Process knowledge about Incident / Change / problem management tools and procedures. 
•    Experience with DevOps tools such as GIT Hub, Confluence, and Jira.
•    Demonstrate analytical and problem management skills to drive the resolution and prevent reoccurrence.
•    Understanding of Puppet/Ansible/HPSA products for end point management and application deployment across a large infrastructure.
