We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Simplification Lead.
The simplification team is responsible for driving the execution and delivery of HSBC’s restructure, as well as other related projects. The team works within GCOO and is accountable to both the Global COO and The Global Head of Strategy.
A programme governance has been mobilised driven by a Central Team, working closely with the central Team, the Business & Infrastructure and thematic Transversals (e.g. People & OD), accountable to the Group COO and Group Head of Strategy.

In this role you will:
• Work with the Senior Management Team to build long term objectives and strategies.
• Work with lines of business and infrastructure driving their bank simplification objectives and outcomes.
• Work with other central teams (e.g. HR and Finance) to ensure clear reporting of progress to OpCo and Board.
• Manage oversight of the production of key cost and benefit metrics
• Drive enhancements to reporting on key KPIs, including building quality assurance and analytical capabilities.
• Drive plans to deliver simplification objectives.
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
• Extensive experience working with technology, lines of business and infrastructure driving their bank simplification objectives and outcomes.
• Experience managing multi million pound Programmes £100 million +
• The ability to synthesize complex and large data sets to present a clear and articulate picture to senior management
• Demonstrated ability to network and influence senior customers and stakeholders, and to work positively and collaboratively with partners
• Ability to work effectively under pressure with competing and rapidly changing priorities.
• Demonstrated leadership skills and strong evidence of having the ability to live HSBC values
