HSBC is the largest bank in Europe and is also one of the largest investment banks in the world, with MSS IT providing  technology solutions for its Global Banking and Markets business worldwide.  As Senior Markets Treasury Business Analyst / Project Manager you will perform an exciting role within the Markets Treasury XARA IT team, delivering a leading technology platform capable of supporting the Market Treasury business and facilitating its growth.

In this role you will:

  • Work with stakeholders including Business, Quants, IT and Traded Risk teams to deliver front to back solution to meet strategic business goals.
  • As a Treasury SME disseminate requirements across multiple asset class technology teams.
  • Manage Quant book of work to enhance HSBC pricing libraries to support specific Market Treasury pricing requirements for Banking Book PnL including Hedge Accounting.
  • Conduct/Assist in system testing cycles including SIT, UAT, with Markets Treasury Front Office, Traded Risk and other Operation support teams as required.
  • Develop and mentor team business analysts based in key development centres. 
Requirements

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

  • Strong understanding of Treasury business, specifically Trading, Risk Management, Banking Book PnL & Hedge Accounting knowledge is essential.
  • Project Management and Business analysis experience in delivering large / medium-sized projects from inception through requirements gathering, design, build, test and delivery is essential.
  • Project Management and Business analysis experience of HSBC trading or pricing platforms supporting Fixed Income product set including Bond, Swaps, Repos, Money Markets is essential. 
  • Experience in managing relationships with senior Front Office stakeholders, Quants, Market / Traded Risk & Operation teams.
  • Experience working in a global, matrix environment with remote devops teams.
