We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Specialist Engineering.

Principal Responsibilities

In this role you will:

• Have the technical skill to review, verify, and validate the software code developed in the project
• Troubleshooting techniques and with the ability to fix, test and deploy code bugs
• Encouraging and building automated processes wherever possible? 
• Experience with Automating Testing and deployment pipelines using DevOps tools such as Jenkins/Ansible
• Knowledge of HSBC Governance on Cloud service usage and Security measures 
• Work with IT Service owner to identify opportunities to automate manual tasks, understand how control gaps can be managed/addressed, automate service monitoring etc
• Interact with technical team of vendor managed services
• Interact with colleagues in Corporate Real Estate and identify opportunities to bring business value

To be successful you will:

• Strive for continuous improvement and build continuous integration, continuous development, and constant deployment pipeline 
• Experience of working in DEVOPS environment - Programming / configuration management and pipelines
• Experience of working in Production Support Team  
• Good working knowledge with an Agile Framework such as Scrum 
• Programming / configuration experience with at least 2 of the following technologies: Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, Low Code No code platforms, APIs (Mulesoft), .NET
• Understand Rest APIs, Strong implementation background and experience with CSP based ETL jobs

• Ability to work independently. Internal HSBC knowledge and experience in a Technology area. Has worked within globally diverse teams
