In this role, you will:

• Develop and maintain responsive and user-friendly internal web portal
• Implement UI features and interactions ensuring optimal performance and accessibility.
• Write clean, well-documented and testable code
• Optimize Front-end performance for speed and scalability.
• Ensure seamless integration with backend systems and APIs.
• Collaborate with Central Portal team for standards and procedures.
• Support existing self-service APIs serving internal hsbc customers to perform Day 2 operations
• Support migration of various technology stacks from one platform to another 

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

• Proficient in Java programming with specialist skill in JavaScript
• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Science or related field.
• At least 3 to 4 years of experience in developing and managing JavaScript based web portals
• Knowledge of Code management and version control systems like GITHub.
• Exposure to Automation using Application Programming Interface (API).
• Experience with CMS (content management) Systems
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
• Knowledge and experience in Python, Jenkins or Ansible is added advantage.
