From expanding overseas to managing the cash and trade flows of an established enterprise, the Business Banking team of Relationship Managers and Product Specialists provides a range of end-to-end solutions designed to help small and large businesses reach their potential.
We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Vice President, Business Development.
Principal Responsibilities
- Effectively identifying customer needs through the utilization of customer insights and market intelligence, followed-up by delivering the most appropriate products and services for customers, and making quality business referrals to related business partners
- Assisting Team Head in managing the sales activities as well as driving the desired sales culture
- Collaboration with product partners to identify and serving customers’ needs
- Drive desired sales culture and Omni-Channel Strategy implementation and provide structured feedbacks on Omni-leads and latest market trends
- Coach junior BDM independently
Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree
- Securities license (HKSI Type 1&4)
- Insurance license (IIQE- General Insurance, Long Term Insurance)
Essential:
- With sales experience in the commercial banking sector
- Strong knowledge of HSBC’s Commercial Banking products and services
- Proven ability in identifying and meeting customer needs through a broad range of products and services
- Proven level of business acumen and commercial awareness including economic, cultural, procedural and regulatory issues
- Fluent in Cantonese and English, with knowledge in Mandarin preferred
Desirable:
- Broad knowledge of HSBC’s Group capabilities and CMB’s proposition and product capabilities
- Strong understanding of the local and international commercial environment, with a passion for understanding a broad range of industries and businesses and a determination to keep this knowledge updated
- Proven ability to innovate and deliver creative and flexible customer solutions
- Proven ability to differentiate from the competition through responsive and proactive customer engagement service at both a strategic and transactional level
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with a particular emphasis upon inspiring, influencing and negotiating in dealing with customers and colleagues
- Strong ability to effectively plan and organise, with tenacity to drive through results
- Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal, and the ability to deliver compelling presentations
- Self-motivated with ability to work independently
