Your career opportunity
The job holder would be a part of Reporting team within Product Control department in Krakow (Controllership, Finance). Main responsibilities include ensuring that financial instruments of the Markets and Securities Services business are appropriately valued and controlled with respect of best practices which incorporate IFRS accounting standard, HSBC Group policies, procedures and other relevant guidance.
The job holder will be part of the Resolution Reporting capability within Product Control (Controllership, Finance) in Krakow, operating in a global leadership role. The role is accountable for shaping and delivering Product Control’s contribution to Recovery & Resolution Planning (RRP), with a specific focus on Trading Activity Wind Down (TWD) and Valuation in Resolution (ViR).

What you’ll do
Lead a global team delivering PC Resolution Reporting outcomes across TWD and ViR, ensuring clear ownership, resilience and consistent standards across locations.
Own the global strategy, operating model and delivery roadmap for PC RRP reporting capability (process, data, controls, tooling and evidence).
Drive end-to-end delivery of Trading Activity Wind Down reporting and execution readiness, including playbooks, MI, escalation paths and decision support.
Sponsor and direct smoke tests, dress rehearsals and simulations, ensuring issues are identified early, remediated sustainably and evidenced to closure.
Own the PC framework for Valuation in Resolution, ensuring methodologies, data lineage, controls and documentation meet internal governance and external expectations.
Provide senior challenge on key judgements, anomalies and material movements; ensure transparent rationale and audit trail.
Lead governance and senior stakeholder engagement across Product Control, Markets, Traded Risk, Liquidity, Capital, MI Reporting, Regulatory Change and Technology.
Act as a senior point of contact for Internal Audit, External Audit and (as required) regulatory stakeholders, lead responses to findings and thematic reviews.

What you need to have to succeed in this role
Proven experience delivering Recovery & Resolution Planning (RRP) capabilities, specifically Trading Activity Wind Down (TWD) and/or Valuation in Resolution (ViR) (design, governance, testing, regulatory deliverables).
Strong leadership experience with a track record of managing teams and delivering complex, multi-stakeholder outcomes in a regulated environment.
Broad experience in a Product Control / Markets Finance environment with strong understanding of traded products, risk and valuation control.
Strong controls mindset with understanding of how the control environment mitigates financial and regulatory reporting risk; ability to build “regulatory grade” evidence.
Professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CA, CFA, or FRM) or qualified by experience.
University degree in Finance/Economics or a quantitative discipline (e.g., Mathematics, Physics, Engineering or similar).

What we offer
The pay range for this role is 19,175 PLN - 23,000 PLN (monthly, gross).
Additional car allowance in the amount of 4,786 PLN (monthly, gross).

Variable pay is discretionary, but influenced by Group performance, business/function performance and individual performance.
