We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Vice President, Rubix Delivery Manager - MSS.
Principal responsibilities:
Key Activities:
- Lead the planning and execution of Rubix Fund Services projects and other change initiatives to ensure a successful delivery and realization of committed benefits.
- Partner with senior stakeholders in Operations, Product, and IT on the identification of opportunities and solutions, which align to the Operations vision and Product roadmap to deliver both operational efficiencies and improve the client experience.
- Manage the project lifecycle including business and data analysis to identify the change opportunities, business case approval, requirements gathering, solution design (in collaboration with Ops, Product and IT), testing and implementation into the Operations line teams.
- Manage, identify, and escalate risks and issues relating to the delivery of the individual projects, taking proactive action to mitigate then and don’t impede Programme delivery.
- Regular reporting of project activities in Clarity, in line with HSBC Change Framework.
- Building a partnership with the Operations management team to use the change initiatives to drive the transformation of the operating model.
- Manage external vendor relationship where appropriate.
- Contribute to the long-term vision and strategy of the operational model for Fund Services.
Management of Risk and Internal Controls:
- Strong awareness of the factors which might lead to financial loss and those mitigating controls to prevent such losses.
- Strong awareness of the Operational Risk scenario associated with the role and act in a manner that takes account of operational risk considerations.
- Maintains HSBC internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators.
- Understands, follows, and demonstrates compliance with all relevant internal and external rules, regulations and procedures that apply to the conduct of the business in which the jobholder is involved, specifically Internal Controls and any Compliance policy including, inter alia, the Group Compliance policy.
Leadership and Teamwork:
- Collaborate with stakeholders in the Securities Services value stream for Fund Services.
- Build effective, safe, diverse, and inclusive work environment for all the team members spanning across multiple locations and working requirements.
- Lead by example and ensure staff are supported to deliver outstanding results.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to manage work independently without any supervision.
- Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team.
Active engagement with the stakeholders:
- Operations senior management team.
- Senior Product owners within the Securities Services business.
- Programme and project leads.
- Vendor and IT teams.
- Central Change PMO and Risk Stewards.
- Business Architects.
- External vendor.
- Other service delivery functions.
- Other Transformation functions.
Experience:
- Proven track record of successful delivery of large and complex operational change from initiation to deployment for one or several initiatives simultaneously.
- Ability to manage critical change governance processes including budget, RAID, plan, and benefit management.
- Demonstrate a functional acumen to support how solutions will address Programme challenges while maintaining alignment with business best practices.
- Strong knowledge of financial services, ideally in Security Services or Fund Services, operations as a function, asset classes, products, industry wide systems and processes.
- Good understanding of operational risk frameworks, including non-financial risk and how the operational strategy enhances the risk profile.
- Demonstrate experience in effectively leading and managing teams to achieve organizational goals, along with proficiency in cultivating strong relationships with stakeholders. Experience in leveraging available and emerging best in class technologies to benefit the wider change agenda and tenacity to find solutions to complex problems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and experience in influencing a senior set of sponsors and stakeholders.
