We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Associate Director, Software Engineering.

Principal responsibilities
- Develop and implement Browser foundation engineering solutions in alignment with leadership vision
- Work with technical engineering teams from other technology platforms to collaborate on deliveries.
- Build roadmap for evaluation of platform as a product.
- Lead team to set up and configure applications cloud hosted environments (IaaS), services (PaaS), via automation and using the AWS Portal and Infrastructure as code (Terraform).
- Provide process improvement recommendations based on best practices and industry standards
- Resolves conflicts by demonstrating leadership and appropriate decision-making competencies •
- Is responsible for complex technical management coordination with multiple engineering teams across the platforms.
- Is responsible for the development of standards and processes for operations that proactively prevent problems from occurring
- Create and maintain environment, release and support strategy for platform.
- Ensure technical changes are documented, comply with standard configurations, and are sustainable.
- Lead creation of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery and deployment pipelines to be consumed by cross-functional teams for deployment of application to content management platform.
- Bring automation in Infrastructure configuration, environment setup, release management and support capabilities using CICD pipelines.
- Be an advocate of a DevOps culture
- Deliver against the priority of the requirements coming from Product Managers for enhancements to the digital experience platforms.
- Work with Architects and engineering squads under browser foundation to ensure that product requirements are understood, engineering deliveries meets the expectation.
- Engage with teams supporting IT infrastructure, other platforms, network, and other support services
- Innovate and make creative recommendations following the most recent technology industry trends.
- Design, develop, automate, and maintain tools using an automate-first mindset to improve the quality and repeatability of software and infrastructure configuration development and deployment.
- Setup/manage automated infrastructure creation/deployment in AWS.
- Be able to demonstrate you can lead, motivate, mentor and coach the teams
- Work in an agile environment that iterates and releases quickly
- Deliver fair outcomes for our customers and ensure own conduct maintains the orderly and transparent operation of financial markets
- Experience in Application Development or Platform Engineering or Cloud infrastructure management.
- High level understanding in the areas of web application programming, content management systems, and system design. Strong hands on experience on Adobe Experience Manager (AEM 6.1 and 6.5) running on-premises and on Cloud
- Possesses expert technical understanding of the intersection of development and operations (DevOps), monitoring and management tools, and deployment processes and tools
- Solid understanding of DevOps concepts, DevOPs tooling, CI/CD, Pipelines, Build/Release process, Infrastructure as Code etc.
- Solid conceptual understanding of AWS Cloud services.
- Understands various aspects of application development, tools, and languages
- Experience In one of the programming languages e.g. Java, Python, Nodejs, etc
- Experienced with DevOPs Transformation and application migration to cloud platform.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, relationship building skills, and ability to achieve results without direct reporting relationships
- AWS professional certification is preferred.
- Organisational and leadership abilities with excellent communication skills.
- A passion for automation and benchmarks high engineering standards.
- Experience in Continuous Delivery practices and how they affect product quality and delivery
- Problem-solving aptitude and Creative thinking skillset.
- Good knowledge of software design patterns and software architecture principles
- Knowledge of agile project management framework with cross functional teams, using Jira and Confluence
- Experience in providing thought leadership, and driving a complex change agenda, and an ability to challenge the “status quo”
