As the Associate, Financial Reporting Analyst, you will serve as the lead valuation analyst for Innovation Banking’s warrant portfolio and be a finance partner for the Global Innovation Banking team. Responsibilities may also include support to the Global Innovation Banking Business Management & COO teams on critical projects. Deliver presentations on analysis, trends, metrics and results. Consult with other departments to provide data and analysis. Partner with other colleagues across CIB Business Finance, Innovation Banking business management, as well as other finance and business stakeholders on relevant matters.
As our Associate, Financial Reporting Analyst you will:
- Conduct thorough analysis of Innovation Banking warrant portfolio, using preferred financial models and methodologies to assess their worth
- Prepare materials for executive and management committee meetings summarizing valuation findings, methodologies used recommendations to stakeholders
- Support business as usual operations and ad-hoc activities, collaborating closely with the finance and business management teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and decision-making
- Work collaboratively across multiple teams and locations; Customers and stakeholders include Global Innovation Banking Finance, local and Global Innovation Banking Business Management & Operations, Financial Control
For this role, HSBC targets a pay range between $103,300.00 and $155,000.00
The final fixed pay offer will depend on the candidate and a number of variables, including but not limited to, role responsibilities, skill set, depth of experience and education, licensing/certification requirements, internal relativity, and specific work location.

You´ll likely have the following qualifications to succeed in this role:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, mathematics, statistics, business management, related field or equivalent experience (MBA preferred); Minimum of five years proven financial and/or business analysis experience, or equivalent
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills to assess financial data and perform valuation analyses
- Familiarity with valuations methodologies and financial modelling, along with proficiency in Excel and other systems and reporting knowledge
- Demonstrated presentation and communication skills
- Knowledge of CIB business and Innovation Banking ecosystem and products preferred; Familiarity with US accounting rules, US regulations, International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), US General Accepted Accounting Practice (GAAP), the US banking market, US economy and conditions
