Global Banking (GB)

HSBC’s global capabilities and footprint allow our Global Banking teams to provide a single coverage point for multinational clients operating internationally. Offering vast expertise and local knowledge, especially in emerging markets, Global Banking products and services have been designed to meet the global financial needs of our clients, whatever and wherever they are.

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team.

In this role, you will:

Work as relationship manager for high profile Public Sector clients including sovereigns, quasi-sovereigns, policy institutions, and supranationals;

Support senior coverage bankers to develop and grow revenues, increase market share, improve profitability and capture strategic opportunities for long-term relationships with Public Sector clients;

Establish a holistic understanding of clients’ needs and make informed decisions in structuring and delivering innovative high value solutions to the clients; be clients’ preferred financial partner and trusted advisor;

Support deal origination by offering cost efficient products and services that best meet the business needs of the clients, expand wallet share especially in event type of business;

Build relationships with internal / external stakeholders, maintaining visibility and exposure to regional and global teams;

Provide administrative support to the team to enable senior coverage bankers to stay focused on client relationship and business development;

Maintain a high level of credit quality and financial crime risk management in the client portfolio and mitigate the hidden risks of the evolving Global Banking products.


To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:

University degree with 3~5 years of relevant working experience;

Good knowledge of the Public Sector clients and the market / industry in which they operate;

Team player and capable of working with colleagues of different personality;

Sense of initiative and self-motivation;

Proven track record of the ability to drive business development both independently and by providing indispensable support to team mates;

Mature portfolio management skills and good knowledge of transaction banking and investment banking products;

Good understanding of credit and financial crime risk management and risk mitigation; and

Good command of problem solving, (verbal and written) presentation and communication skills, and ability to work under pressure.
