Global Internal Audit provides independent, objective assurance to management and the risk and audit committees as to whether the framework of risk management, control, and governance processes, as designed and represented by management, is adequate and functioning.

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join this team in the role of Associate Vice President/Vice President Internal Audit

 

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the delivery of audits by contributing to audit planning, performing fieldwork, and managing the work allocated. When required and approved by Line Manager & Head Internal Audit, the job holder may lead the delivery of medium and/or larger as well as more complex audits in line with the job holder's expertise.
  • Completing the allocated audit engagement in adherence with the prevailing audit methodology and using the designated or required documentation and templates.
  • As and when required, managing audits by identifying and working closely with all relevant key stakeholders, organizing fieldwork, identifying risk and control weaknesses within the audit scope, escalating issues, assisting management in defining the resolution, and preparing the accurate as well as timely audit report.
  • Utilizing professional knowledge and expertise to understand the business and develop suitable audit approaches and solutions.
  • Execute and document risk-based continuous monitoring on the designated audit universe areas, in line with the continuous monitoring strategy set

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • Degree Holder (Master preferred) from reputable university.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years proven and progressive audit, business and/or accounting experience of equivalent from Public Accountant Firm or Banking Industries.
  • Fluent English in written and verbal communication skills, analytical and critical thinking, problem-solving oriented, organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Foundation knowledge of the company, group, and financial service industry, business supported and regulatory environment framework they operate in.
  • Good understanding of the business, risks, and related controls within areas of responsibility (i.e. Wholesale & Retail Lending, Trade & Receivable Financing, Markets & Security Services, Investment Products/Instruments, and head-office support functions e.g. Finance, Financial Crime, etc.).
  • Has expertise on data analytics and ability to apply technology to identify and resolve business or operational problems, including skills Computer Assisted Audit Techniques (CAATs).
  • Professional certification related to Audit (e.g. CIA, CRMA, CAMS) and others (e.g. CPA, FRM, etc.) would be an advantage.
