We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Automation Services Consultant - SIMPLIFICATION

Principal responsibilities

  • Engage stakeholders to understand their digital and automation needs, incorporating Agile methodologies and DevOps practices to ensure efficient delivery.
  • Assist in performing opportunity assessments and Proof of Concept for new use cases.
  • Translate business requirements into future state processes and high-level solution designs, utilizing business analysis skills to ensure alignment with HSBC governance. Documentations required across HSBC governance.
  • Assist in formulating digital project business cases, leveraging Agile project management delivery techniques to ensure timely and effective results. Present the project and solution design in governance meetings with the support of the Digital & Automation Delivery Manager.
  • Implement end-to-end digital and automation solutions with Power Platform capabilities, such as Power Apps, Power Automate/ Power Automate Desktop, Power BI, etc., using Agile and DevOps principles to ensure continuous integration and delivery.
  • Proceed and follow-up required approvals in accordance with HSBC standards, utilizing Agile methodologies to streamline the process.
  • Perform code reviews in accordance with design principles and best practices, utilizing DevOps practices to ensure continuous improvement and quality.
  • Assist in providing training to our teams in Agile methodologies and principles to ensure a flexible and adaptive team.
Requirements

General

  • Proven successful track record in a similar role.
  • Ability to problem solve, clearly articulate requirements, and implement and drive delivery.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and comfortable dealing with complex stakeholder groups. With the ability to present technical details to a non-technical audience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and with sufficient gravitas and prominence to influence key stakeholders.
  • Must be well organised and able to multi-task effectively and efficiently.
  • Able to work independent with limited supervision.
  • Fast learner. Able to accommodate to complex environment and stakeholder groups
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills required:

o Fluency in English is a must

o Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin) is a plus

  • Familiarity with Wholesale Banking industry is a plus.

Technical Skill

  • Strong knowledge and proven successful track record in Power Platform and/or RPA technologies, and their use case assessment, implementation & delivery lifecycle.
  • Good understanding of System Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile delivery approach.
  • With hands on experience on one of below Power Platform capabilities or any market leading automation/ digital tools:

o Power Apps

o Power Automate/ Power Automate Desktop

o Power BI

o RPA (e.g. Blue Prism/ UiPath/ Automation Anywhere)

o VBA

  • Proficient in MS Office, Teams, Confluence, Jira and/or Monday.com.
  • Knowledge of other programming languages is a plus.

Qualifications and Accreditations

  • Applicants should have an IT / CS / Tech background with either a relevant bachelor’s degree or 2+ years of relevant experience.
  • Applicants own any certificates below is highly preferable:

o Exam PL-500: Microsoft Power Automate RPA Developer.

o Blue Prism Developer Exam (AD01).

o Project Management Professional (PMP) or PRINCE.

o SAFe Product Owner, DevOps and Product Manager Certification.

Candidate with less relevant experience or skills may be offered a lower Global Career Band than stated above.
