We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Business Manager.

Principal Responsibilities

Business Strategy & Execution

  • Develop and execute business plans aligned with overall HSBC and GPS strategy
  • Actively contributes to business growth by executing market research (on market trends, client needs, and competitor) and monitoring market share to identify growth potential/risks
  • Delivers initiatives and business cases for GPS within the Bank to support business growth

Financial Management

  • Manage the tracking of financial performance (Revenue and Cost)
  • Monitor key financial metrics and support forecasting, budgeting, and planning cycles
  • Identify ways and means of enhancing MI for analytics to drive business performance

Stakeholder Engagement & Communication

  • Act as a liaison within GPS (Singapore and Regional) and SG CEO Office, Banking, legal, and finance teams
  • Independently manage monthly and quarterly stakeholder engagements (i.e. Prepare business updates, senior management briefings, and governance materials)
  • Drive alignment and transparency across stakeholders within GPS and across the bank

  • Foster Collaboration Across Teams: Promote teamwork and cross-functional alignment to achieve shared outcomes
  • Lead People Engagement Initiatives: Enhance team motivation, morale, and retention through proactive people engagement initiatives
Requirements
  • Excellent planning, organisation and time management abilities
  • Demonstrate expected core behaviors and values including teamwork, focus, drive and determination, and act as strong team player
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and influencing skills. Ability to interact confidently at a senior level with internal stakeholders
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment with multiple stakeholders, navigate through a matrixed management hierarchy and complex, global footprint
  • Flexible and able to manage priorities whilst remaining calm under pressure
  • Experience working with and analyzing data
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
