Hang Seng's Financial Control function works closely with the Bank's stakeholders, including business partners, shareholders, regulators and external examiners. We function as their accountants and business partners in providing comprehensive information on financial management, financial planning, financial reporting and compliance, capital planning and reporting, financial control & SOX control, tax advisory, insurance finance, and treasury and investment finance.

We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our department as CFO Retail Banking & Wealth and Wholesale Finance.

Principal responsibilities

• Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Hang Seng Bank Hong Kong, the CFO Retail Banking & Wealth (RB&W) and Commercial Banking is a key partner to businesses to drive performance for enterprise wide.
• Communicate, evaluate, challenge, and advise on business performance, investment decisions and financial controls.
• Provide leadership oversight on reporting, budgeting, and forecasting functions.
• Ensure robust bank-wide stress testing to improve risk and capital management in the Bank, meet regulatory requirements and protect the Bank’s reputation.
• Steer the team to focus on simplification and streamlining. Bring technology into Finance to improve quality and efficiency of outputs.

• Proven track record across multiple finance disciplines including financial accounting, and reporting, business information and analysis, asset liability and capital management and change management.
• Strong business acumen to provide insightful, value-added challenge and support to the businesses.   
• Track record of achievement within a complex matrix environment and governance standard, working effectively and positively with different levels of stakeholders within the Bank.
• Demonstrated ability in working with complex and demanding regulatory landscape. 
• Strong leadership and management capability in developing and motivating team; build talent pipeline and bench-strength.
• Strong navigation in complex and changing internal and external context with agile ways of working and highly effective stakeholder management.
• University degree in Finance, Accounting or related discipline with recognised professional accounting qualification.
• Proficiency in both spoken and written English and Chinese
