About the Role

This role is for DCS (Derivative clearing services) for OTC clearing and role involves monitoring all the applications under the OTC Clearing on daily basis.

  •          Accountable for the end-to-end delivery of different OTC Clearing projects, preparing a technical delivery plan and ensuring the timeliness are met.
  •          Working with global operations team, resolving the queries, managing and prioritization of RTB JIRA's.
  •          Defining scope and coverage for each release.
  •          Liaising with product owners and DevOps engineers for clarity on stories, acceptance criteria and testing scope for RTB tickets
  •          Creating and monitoring dashboard for TOIL activities.

As our Consultant Specialist you will:  

  •          Own and monitor all the applications under the OTC Clearing.

  •          Create and monitor dashboard for TOIL activities.
  •          Monitor and highlight any upgrade the OTC Calypso Infrastructure. Prepare Vulnerability mitigation plans and work with the team to implement it.
  •          Define processes and tools best suited for the project. Should have the ability to work in a Dev Ops & Agile fashion.
  •          Liaise with applications vendors for clarity of requirements and actively participate in discussion on version upgrades.
  •          Anticipate and manage Operations expectations, fostering open and honest communication.
  •          Drive platform improvement initiatives like improvement of performance, production stability.
  •          Understanding of issues within team and galvanizes others to achieve goals.

 

What Your Day will Look Like

  •          Monitoring all OTC application for eastern time zone.
  •          Working with global operations team, resolving the queries, managing and prioritization of RTB JIRA's.
  •       Defining scope and coverage for each release.
  •          Liaising with product owners and DevOps engineers for clarity on stories, acceptance criteria and testing scope for RTB tickets
  •          Willingness to engage with business users and key IT stakeholders outside of direct area of responsibility and manage expectations
  •          Joining the handover calls with Global team to make sure daily handover happens smooth.
Requirements

You´ll likely have the following qualifications to succeed in this role: 

  •          Strong experience on Calypso (v16 and above) and Collateral business.
  •          Acquired experience of migrating all the tooling and monitoring functionality whilst upgrading Calypso.
  •          Excellent testing skills on various modules as per business needs in Calypso.
  •          Exposure to various SWIFT messaging systems and SWIFT products like Alliance Access.
  •          Strong experience on various monitoring tools like Geneos, Splunk, Patrol, GraFana
  •          DevOps & Tooling expertise with exposure to Continuous Integration and Automated Deployments using tools such as Git, ANT, MAVEN, Gradle, Groovy, Jenkins, Sonar, Ansible etc.
  •          Strong Exposure on RDBMS (e.g. MS SQL, PostGres SQL).
  •          Scripting knowledge using Python and shell languages (bash, KSH)
  •          Excellent problem-solving, interpersonal, presentation and analytical skills.
  •          Strong relationship management skills with proven history in dealing with stakeholders and globally distributed project teams.
  •          Willingness to engage with business users and key IT stakeholders outside of direct area of responsibility and manage expectations.
  •          Self-motivated, enthusiastic and proven rapid learning capability.
  •          Experience working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Skills highly preferred, but not mandatory:

  •          Exposure in Clearing business and understanding of operational model of different Clearing Houses like LCH, CME, ICE, HKEX etc.
  •          In-depth knowledge of Trade Life cycle, Trade processing and enrichment
  •          Exposure to regulatory reporting guidelines by various regulatory authorities, e.g. FCA.
  •          Strong knowledge of Global Markets traded products like interest rate, FX, Credit and Equity businesses
