We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Consultant Specialist.
Business: Enterprise Technology L3
Principal responsibilities:
- Provide production support for critical systems, including incident response, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis across Windows and Linux platforms to ensure service availability.
- Manage and support Internet Information Services (IIS) for web applications, including configuration, performance tuning, and issue resolution.
- Design, implement, and maintain observability frameworks (logging, metrics, tracing) to provide deep insights into system performance and behavior across heterogeneous environments.
- Develop and manage monitoring tools and dashboards to proactively identify, diagnose, and resolve issues in real-time on both Windows and Linux systems.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to establish SLAs, SLOs, and error budgets that align with business objectives.
- Automate operational tasks and improve system resilience using infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD pipelines.
- Participate in on-call rotations to ensure 24/7 coverage and rapid response to production incidents.
- Continuously improve system reliability by analyzing trends, identifying bottlenecks, and recommending optimizations for IIS, Windows, and Linux-based services.
- Document processes, incidents, and solutions to build a knowledge base for the team.
- Experience in platform engineering, site reliability engineering (SRE), or a similar role supporting production environments.
- Proven experience with Internet Information Services (IIS) administration, configuration, and troubleshooting in production settings.
- Strong background in Windows support, including system administration, performance monitoring, and issue resolution.
- Hands-on experience with Linux support, including system administration, shell scripting, and managing production workloads.
- Proficiency with observability tools such as AppDynamics, Grafana, ELK Stack, Datadog, or similar.
- Experience with Azure Cloud engineering.
- Expertise in scripting and automation (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell) to streamline operational workflows.
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible) and CI/CD systems (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
