We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Consultant Specialist.

Principal responsibilities
Stakeholder Communication and Collaboration:
•Communicate with stakeholders to assist in resolving issues related to project delivery.
•Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including ITID, vendors, and business users, to address production queries or incidents with practical solutions.
•Support stakeholders in achieving desired outcomes by providing technical insights and recommendations.
Solution Design and Development:
•Understand functional requirements through interactions with Business Analysts and Solution Architects.
•Contribute to the design and development of practical, maintainable solutions.
•Assist in breaking down system functions into manageable components, such as APIs and microservices.
•Apply program fixes for application defects in accordance with HSBC Change Management standards.
Delivery and Quality Assurance:
•Provide accurate task estimates and status updates to management.
•Ensure development meets quality standards by adhering to best practices and minimizing defects.
•Support the team in managing the backlog and ensuring timely delivery of solutions.
Support and Incident Management:
•Provide application support during business hours and assist in resolving incidents.
•Participate in on-call support rotations as required by project or business needs.
Requirements
Education and Experience:
•University Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
•Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in software development or technology delivery.
Power Platform Expertise:
•Hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Platform components such as Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI.
•Familiarity with Dataverse (formerly Common Data Service) for data storage and management.
•Experience in building custom connectors or integrating Power Platform with external systems.
Technical Knowledge:
•Hands-on experience with at least one modern programming language (e.g., JavaScript, Python, or Java).
•Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker is a plus.
•Understanding of software engineering principles, including code optimization and scalability.
Additional Skills:
•Experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or AWS is an advantage.
•Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools like Jira or Confluence.
•Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a diverse team.
