We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Project Manager
In this role, you will:
- Drive the COE vendor transformation strategy across Cybersecurity, ensuring alignment with the broader strategy and “One wallet” approach, driving rationalisation, optimisation, and consolidation.
- Establish metrics to inform the success of the vendor transformation strategy plan
- Map current vendor landscape to identify core vendors by control/function to support the implementation of a vendor management plan, aligned to the strategy
- Manage and own all COE Vendor related transformation governance and oversight (e.g., Vendor Performance reviews, QBRs, etc.)
- Lead vendor governance meetings on behalf of the COE Lead and act as a focal point of Cybersecurity COE vendor management and point of escalation
- Ensure suppliers are meeting the minimum performance criteria while driving continuous improvement, delivery against SLAs and monitoring of KPIs. Establish and embed a suite of vendor performance metrics (KPIs) where missing.
- Oversight and support vendor review cycle including establishing QBRs
- Create performance framework for vendors including get-well plan for poor performance
- Contract risk management working closely with the Cybersecurity Regulatory & Third Party Management (TPRO) lead
- Support Vendor and contract financial analysis (e.g., PnL views, headwinds etc.)
- Manage vendor lifecycle process, provide guidance and support to stakeholders throughout the renewal lifecycle until finalization with a Purchase Order (PO).
- Ensure strategic alignment between vendors and technology roadmaps.
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
- Experience within Vendor Management gained in financial sectors (ideally Banking), regulated environment is an advantage
- Commercial acumen with a track record of controlling vendor spends as an enterprise scale, and/or cost avoidance
- Strong risk awareness
- Proven track record of contract management on a global scale, controlling vendor spend and risk management
- Deep understanding of technology providers in Cybersecurity and/or technology with exposure to managing complex supply base
- Communication is key in this role. Must be able to communicate to stakeholders on senior level in and outside of Cybersecurity, addressing challenges and feedback.
- Collaboration is key in this role. Must be able to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including Cybersecurity, Architecture and Procurement to ensure that the output is delivered jointly and on time. It is key that the Principal SME stays on top of developments in the technology and vendor landscape.
- Stakeholder management skills: Must be able to manage relationships with stakeholders and external vendors, showing influential skills and negotiation skills.
- Problem-solving skills: Problem-solving skills: The Principal SME must be able to identify and remediate challenges and must be able to get technical consultancy from Product Managers and Technical Directors to respond to issues.
- C-suite experience required
