We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Data Technology Lead, Decisioning Technology.

Role purpose

We are looking for a visionary and technically strong Data Technology Lead –Decisioning Technology to lead the design and delivery of intelligent data provisioning platforms and services that enable real-time and batch decision-making across the bank.

This role is responsible for engineering scalable, high-performance data decisioning frameworks that power AI/ML models, customer personalization, fraud detection, credit approvals, and operational insights. The successful candidate will lead the delivery of core capabilities such as real-time feature stores, contextual data provisioning, and decision orchestration engines that serve both human and machine agent decision-makers.

This is a senior leadership role focused on building reusable and secure data services that connect data producers and consumers at speed and scale, while ensuring alignment with enterprise standards, data governance, and platform strategy.

Principal Accountabilities

In this role you will:

  • Define and lead the data decisioning technology strategy, focusing on platform capabilities that enable real-time analytics, personalization, and operational intelligence.
  • Build and operate feature store platforms, online/offline data access services, and decision orchestration pipelines.
  • Partner with business, data science, and digital teams to enable intelligent, data-driven decision-making across customer journeys and risk processes.
  • Design architecture patterns for context-aware data provisioning, integrating with data lakes, streaming platforms, event buses, and APIs.
  • Embed governance, data privacy, security, and observability into all provisioning and decisioning workflows.
  • Drive reusability, scalability, and modularity in platform services across multiple lines of business and geographies.
  • Collaborate with CDOs, AI/ML, and enterprise architecture teams to align with future state data architecture.
  • Lead engineering teams and vendor delivery partners to build high-performance, resilient systems that meet strict SLAs and compliance standards.
  • Support regulatory, audit, and data risk functions with transparent reporting on data provisioning controls and usage.
  • Ensure continuous improvement through automation, platform modernization, and adoption of cloud-native, event-driven designs.
Requirements

Essential Experience:

  • Extensive years of experience in data engineering or platform leadership roles, including delivering real-time data products and decisioning systems.
  • Deep technical knowledge of real-time data architectures, feature stores, ML pipelines, and decisioning platforms, and able to lead a focus on resilience and performance tuning.
  • Experience with tools and technologies such as Java, Kafka CI/CD automation, rules engines (commercial, such  as Pega, and opensource alternatives), as well cloud-native data services.
  • Solid understanding of enterprise data management principles, including metadata, lineage, data contracts, and data quality.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML model operationalization and integration with data provisioning pipelines.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead large-scale data platform delivery in complex, global financial services environments.
  • Strong collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills, including experience working with product, analytics, compliance, and infrastructure teams.
  • Experience with regulatory compliance and control frameworks relevant to decisioning (e.g., credit risk, model risk, privacy laws).
